Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the cabinet Sunday that Syria and Iran may assist Hezbollah in retaliation for the assassination of its deputy leader Tuesday in Damascus....

The defense minister said Mughniyah's death dealt a serious blow to Hezbollah and global terror in general, stressing it would take Hezbollah a long time to find a suitable replacement.....

The defense establishment is concerned Hezbollah may use an explosives-laden unmanned aerial vehicle to attack a civilian or military target in northern or central Israel in retaliation for the Mughniyah assassination. The Israel Air Force has been placed on alert for such a possibility.......

Sounds as if Barak has announced that Syria and Iran are about to be hammered if they try to flex their muscles too much. A verbal preemptive strike.

I would project that the pattern of retaliation that has usually happened is a mass of suicide bombers comes about from these islamic cowards, their idea of warfare is of course beyond primitive. But I suspect there may be a new and surprising trend in the targets or methods, I think schools will be targeted and possibly with crude bioweapons.
Something big is just waiting to happen, I can feel it. Its like a huge chess game and their are some hidden players behind the scenes moving pieces.Iran is a lot smarter than we give them credit and I do not doubt for a minute that they would sacrifice anyone just to give them the image and posture to go on an offensive role.

Right...regions of Syria and Iran will be instantly turned into a "sea of glass".

Prepare to be underwhelmed, then.

Syria is owned. Syria couldn’t defend its own airspace against the September 6 attack on its enrichment facility, and it has hostile agents operating against it inside Damascus itself as of this week.

What?! Syria’s going to rush into a war when it can’t defend anyone in its capitol city?! When it doesn’t even know who did the deed?!

Nope. Syria is sitting this one out. And that means no help for Hezbollah (Iran has to have Syrian aid to help Hezbollah due to geography).

Of course, Hezbollah *must* strike back...but Hezbollah is going to be ridiculed throughout the Middle-East when it strikes back ineffectively...and it isn’t going to be very effective without Syrian and Iranian aid.

So the radical Islamofacists are going to suffer yet another military and public opinion setback.

This isn’t even the first targeted assasination. Hamas and Hezbollah have been losing quite a few leaders, and neither has managed to do much about it.

Instead of us worrying about what the Muzzies might do in revenge for their guy getting killed, how come they're not worried about what we might do in revenge for all the killing he did?
