Good call.

“Firefly” was not only great sci-fi, but perhaps the single most conservative television program ever.

...Because only Al Gore would fit through those doorways!

LOL! Hmmm! Now that you have mentioned it, maybe the Krell were libs. Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy and others must have those Krell doorways as well!

A remake of “Them” was in the planning stages, and at one time Joe Johnston was slated to direct, but it never happened.

YES,the original Invaders from Mars!
I don’t think I have ever seen as scary a scene in a movie as when the father comes back from the sand pit and sits down in the living room. His son walks behind him and sees the X carved on his neck.
I get chills just writing about it.

I’m glad someone mentioned 2001. I just didn’t like the ending. I guess I was too young to get high.

The TV show ‘LOST’ is a very good show with a science fiction twist to the main story line. Last week we learned that the island is 31 minutes out of sync with the rest of the world.

The series felt like a feature movie with every episode.

Still waiting for a remake of “1984” since I missed it the first time, but sounds interesting-and sort of anti-liberal-big goverment!

I would like to see them make Azimov's Classic The Foundation Trilogy!

That was one of my favorires, but it seems better suited to something like a mini-series. Another I would like to see as a movie is Red Mars, by Kim Stanley Robinson. A real solid sci-fi novel.

It will be interesting where they go with re-making The Day the Earth Stood still next December. The "peace in our time" theme will probably be very strong if Hollywood has a say...

No, it will NOT be interesting. It'll suck just as bad as every remake ever.

You'll have to settle for the stolen mashup version. It's called "Star Wars."

You should be fair. Star Wars stole from all of the early sci-fi classics, particularly Dune.

Farscape was awesome, it was like going to the movies every Friday night, great show, the final ending was terrific even.

Bruce Willis is at his best when he’s obviously having fun.

I dunno about that . . . from all accounts, he had a blast making this, which is possibly one of the ten worst movies made during my lifetime.

If near-future dystopias count as Sci-Fi, you should have listed Children of Men.

Michael Flynn's Eifelheim could make a neat movie, provided the filmmaker can make the medieval science intelligible as well as Flynn did.

Thanks for link! I have seen that movie a gazillon times. If they remake it, I hope some one really gives it the proper proper treatment. But, like they screwed up King Kong (again) recently, I’ll probably be stuck with only my hopes...

Yes Red Mars is good. I think they screwed up Azimov’s I Robot, could not stand it. So was the remake of Planet of the Ape’s.

My husband made me sit through “They Live” not long ago. I think it was some sort of nostalgia trip for him. What a stanker!
