“I don’t think it’s going to come down to the president’s vote, but as he has said many times, he would be supporting her even if they weren’t married,” Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna said in a written statement.”

She may test that statement...

Sounds like the Democrats don’t trust democracy. Who woulda thunk it?

Clintons represent the past, Obama represents the future. Superdelegates are ELECTED too! Watch them align with the candidate that can best help them the next time it is THEIR name on the ballot.

What size tires do the wheels on the Clinton Goalposts take?

OK.

If Hillary loses the popular primary elections but wins the nomination due to the superdelegates -- what does that mean for all those liberals still crying about President Bush's win in 2000 in spite of Gore winning the popular vote?

Man, those guys are gonna be SO conflicted about the Federal Electorial College... right? right?

So, is it an unfair edge to be married to a super-duper-delegate, a former two-term president, the last Democrat to hold the office and a leader who's still wildly popular within the party?

Unfair as compared, say, to copies of 900+ FBI files, or to lists of Superdelegates that owe the Clintons and have dirt not appearing in FBI files? Nah.

Let's just remember who had the biggest hand in choosing Superdelegates, who damned near OWNED the Dem Party until a few months ago. Unless Obama really destroys her in the TX and Ohio races, Hillary at the convention still has a good shot. Oh, and don't forget the FL and Michigan delegates - they aren't to be seated - but there's been no court case YET about those disenfranchised voters.

>> superdelegates can vote for whomever they choose

Secret ballot, or open ballot?

I think whether or not they are accountable for their vote will a difference in how the superdelegates vote.

I want to see a movie-like scenario where it all comes down to Bubba’s vote. All eyes are on him and he says “Four years playing second banana to you when I could be out making speeches and scoring babes? I don’t think so. Obama”.

This is how Billary will win - Super Delegate/Scorch Earth/Arkansas Mafia

Obama can’t show up at convention with 50 delegate lead and win both battles:

Superdelegates
Keeping Michigan and Florida Delegates unseated

If his camp argues that it was part of the rules that were agreed upon by both sides to NOT contest the Michigan and Florida delegates, then it was ALSO part of the rules that in the end Superdelegates would be counted.

You can’t argue against changing rules and then argue for changing rules.

Obama’s dream is about to turn into biggest nightmare of his life.

Whoever has gone up against Klintons, has either ended up being dead, out of politics or depressed to no end. Jusk ask Newt.

Safe to say his wife gets his vote.
+++++++++++++++++++++
I don’t think it’s “safe to say”. I think Bill has proven to be an unreliable partner and patriot. A cheat, a liar and a bribe taker can’t be counted as “safe” when his own interests might be involved. If the price were right or great sex was guaranteed he’d cave in a matter of seconds.
