A particularly good time to have this statement by Jim Robinson repeated.
"We are conservative activists..." Indeed we are. RINOs, liberals and moderates need not apply. You're either a true conservative or you're not.

After reading Jim's inspirng "mission statement" of who we are, I thought the same thing.
Just wondering if this is Jim's veiled hint to tell several FReepers around here to stop asking us to drink the McCain Koolaid.

I clicked on it hoping for some new words of wisdom - I’ve got to vote in the primary this week.

In fairness to those who support McCain, Jim has been pretty clear in the past that he does not think it’s wise to take a chance on democrats ruling from the White House, to gain political ground for conservatism.
I am not trying to put words in his mouth, but that is my take on his views as I understand them.
Jim has made it fairly clear he is not a McCain supporter, but that doesn’t mean that he would definately advise folks to withhold their votes from McCain this fall.
I on the otherhand would and express that here in the interest of full disclosure.

I clicked on it hoping for some new words of wisdom - Ive got to vote in the primary this week. I don't think there are any.
Look at the ping brodcast by Czar:
"RINOs, liberals and moderates need not apply. You're either a true conservative or you're not."
Not sure where Czar thinks I might fit, and I started the thread.
H owever you decide, good on ya.
We go to the primary polls on 4 March.
Best,
R.

"Apologies."Not necessary.
"Not sure where Czar thinks I might fit, and I started the thread."
Which is why I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that you are a true conservative. Otherwise, why remind everyone of JimRob's 2004 statement which, taken with his other comments, makes it crystal clear that FR is a conservative site for conservatives?
I will continue to regard you as a conservative until you demonstrate that you are not.

First...Thank You Both
Second....Thank You Both
Third....Thank You Both!
I have a sense that the Conservatism exhibited here at Free Republic, means more to this Nation, than anyone knows. This Free Republic fights battles, only to sometimes lose, but when a battle is lost, this site, Free Republic, rises up to fight again. This is the nature of Conservatism, in my mind. Not to lose, but to WIN, eventually. Though the struggle be long, though the battles are difficult, though WINNING is never easy, this site seeks to endure, and address each principle important for our Nation's survival. For that end (Victory) and for the Victory (oh how sweet thy taste), I commend thee, Gentlemen, Posters, and Lurkers. The efforts expended, fighting for Conservatism, are never in vain. Thank You Mr. Robinson, Sir.

I would expect no less from you than your committment to your principles, DoughtyOne. Although lately I find all of the Obama-mania deeply troubling, to say nothing of his stated intentions since he appeared in Wisconsin. I fear the damage he could bring to our country, and his potential to derail conservative ideals well beyond just a four-year term. It's never easy is it?
Thanks for your honesty!

I have been proud to be an American. Proud from the very first day of cognizance of what it means to be part of something that is far greater than its parts. I’ve laughed. I’ve danced with joy. And I have wept so hard my body has shook.
Free Republic is a portion of that pride that resides within. The ability of those that are passionate, caring and here really for one reason ... to continue the pride in the country we love
It comes with a cost.
Thanks Jim

Howdy, fellow Texan. Just now clicked on your name and prowled around the linked site. Most interesting especially the thread about the Twin Sisters. Great gramps Bostick manned the cannon at the Battle of Bexar.
Sorry but I think you have me confused with someone else. I'm from CT, not TX. ;-)

Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. And may God bless you, Jim Robinson.
