5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has uncovered information on the driver of the van that hit the school bus.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has learned through state license records and state staff that the driver of the van does not have a valid driver's license.
Alianiss Morales, of Motevideo, was convicted of driving without a license two years ago, according to police and Chippewa County Court administration staff.
Morales was pulled over, according to the clerk of court's office, after a report of an an erratic driver. The officer found she was driving in Motevideo without a license.
The Minnesota State Patrol will be working with the National Transportation Safety Board to try and determine a cause for the crash. Investigators have been at the scene Wednesday and they plan to inspect all the vehicles involved and conduct interviews with students who were on the bus.
Morales, 23, remains at the hospital.
Two brothers and the daughter of a teacher were among four children killed in Minnesota's worst school bus crash in at least two decades.
The fourth victim was the son of a former teacher at Lakeview School, the small southwestern Minnesota school wracked by the crash.

No prob. When I first heard the story yesterday I wondered if the driver of the van was DWI or maybe someone who’d had a medical crisis. Then when it took authorities so long to ID the driver and the story disappeared from the national radar I began to suspect something else. This is just horrific.

The writer of the post asked to have it removed, as he had originally thought it was the driver of the school bus that didn't have a license and had commented on that.
No the underlying fact is they are illegal and have no right to be here to begin with.
As soon as someone gets their head out of the ground and verifies her probable illegal status, I’ll have a little more faith in the MN news media.
Living in the SF area, I would very much like to know if this woman is legally here! I’ve been trying very hard to open people’s minds regarding the issues of illegal aliens in this agricultural area. Seeing that she had worked at the JennyO plant makes her even more suspect regarding her status.
When she is found to be another illegal, I’ll write to the State of MN and again to the Feds regarding how many more victims will there be to illegals on our soil!

Thanks for the ping. I’m thinking that our lovely media has decided to tiptoe around the illegal status in order to ‘save us’ from any politically incorrect backlash.
