More Orwellian Gobbly Gook from the left.
Forced labor and indoctrination would be a more accurate headline. Hey folks, wait until the prophet Obama reigns. Then we can look forward to some serious double speak and lots mandatory [insert just about anything here].

But enforced community service at this time in American history could bring immeasurable benefits to the nation's psyche as it grapples with housing foreclosures, doped-up national sports heroes and serious challenges to our international image as world leaders.Goodness gracious gosh almighty. No wonder this woman is stuck writing for the Delaware whatchamacallit.

Kinda like "voluntary requirement."
Another oxymoron from the morons on the Left.

Or its most well-known term, slavery.

Wasn’t that tried many times by Stalin in Russia?
If I remember correctly all farms became the property of the state. All people of the state were required to volunteer their time to work on the farms.
Hmmm?
I think they were called Commune Farms. According to each 5 year plan the farm were to produce X+1 for each year. Turned out they produced negative results causing immeasurable starvation throughout Russia. Something like what North Korea is going through today.

Or you could just call it slavery.
Someone ought to tell Rhonda we fought a civil war to end that. You’d think she’d know.

Heck - my son already suffers from this at his High school. It’s a government school - read mandatory. To graduate from said school he must provide 40 hours of mandatory community service.
It does sound like involuntary servitude doesn’t it.
Now - he is a boy scout. He would have done this ANYWAY working on his eagle project.

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.(Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution)
The Democrats are the Party of Slavery. They always have been, and they always will be. And that's why it's such a shame that the once proud GOP, which stood for liberty and freedom, is bending over to pander to and emulate them.

She is just representing the ideas that will be in the ballot in 2008.

Actually, it’s Facism, which is much more chilling than the fictional Orwellian construct.
