I suppose it depends on what you are trying to approach.

My goals on FR are to test my ideas, to learn, to make a few people laugh, and maybe to stop and think now and then. To accomplish these goals, I avoid name-calling.

But if that’s your style, fine.

I would be interested in understanding how you differentiate the “far, far right” from the “reasonable right”.

Fortify the House as best we can, take over state GOP parties and platforms, and support a candidate NOW in 2012 whom we can all unite behind and field against the RINOs next time. Then, dig in our heels and resist as well as weather four years of McCain or Obama. That is about all we can do, beside buy extra ammo, storable food and invest in ham radio equipment.

"I thought we had this straightened out?"

We did.
I guess my "tone" didn't come out quite right, and I didn't express myself very well.

Sorry about that. ;o)

Geesh, the NYT lowered their journalistic standards a long time ago. McCain still liked the NYT and they liked him.

Funny, isn’t it?

Commander in Chief Barack Obama?

Not much worse than Commander in Chief John McCain to tell you the truth. Equally unfathomable. Equally disdained in my book. I would vote for neither imbecile.

I guess that old #127 on this thread was noticed!

Thanks for the comments. Just talkin' from the heart and talkin' from experience.

To do the same thing over and over again (compromise and accept RINOs), and expect different results, IS THE CLASSIC DEFINITION OF "INSANITY" as they say.

Nice retort. I agree. Also, if this country is headed down the sewer, I'd prefer the person doing it have a (D) after their name. That will help make a good solid all around conservative (NOT RINO) a better alternative after four years of Obama and Momma.

Four years of Obama Hussein's (and his wife's) ranting, as opposed to the 15 second sound bites most people are getting now, not to mention those of his idiot cult member followers, will wake up a whole lot more people to the fact that (D's) are stark raving lunatics. An organization that needs to be crushed.

You haven't done enough research on Obama, then. He's an unreconstructed Alinsky-ite with a Messiah complex.

John McCain may be an old, amnesty-loving tool, but the difference between him and Obama in terms of social policy, experience, and foreign policy is night and day.

Under President McCain's (or President Obama or President Hitlery for that matter) MASS AMNESTY, then EVEN MORE RELATIVES OF THOSE AMNESTIED will be petitioned to come in under the aegis of "family reunification", EVEN MORE illegal crossings at nights with shabby border protection, EVEN MILLIONS more of anchor babies will be born...

So using your logic, because both sides agree on amnesty (which is not exactly the case, anyway--you know the illegals will get a much better deal from Barry O and a lap-dog Democrat congress), we'd be better off with Obama even though McCain is far superior to him on many issues that conservatives care about.

That's not logic. That's cultural suicide. And I won't be party to it.

McCain is far from perfect. But Obama would be an absolute catastrophe.

Four years of McCain will finish off what’s left of conservatism in the GOP. By 2012 the party will be so tainted, and so soulless, that Obama or some other radical will be elected anyway, with inflated Democrat congressional majorities, and conservatives purged from whatever remains of the GOP.

A ‘Rat president like Obama, at this time, might still wake people up to what multiculturalism is doing to our nation. They need to understand this before amnesty is given to the illegals, because afterward it’ll be too late to save the nation. If elected, McCain will find some way to give amnesty to the illegals, believe me. He’s determined to do it because more than anything on earth he wants the GOP right destroyed. He’ll use the fact of his election to claim that people want amnesty, or at least don’t care if it’s granted. If he doesn't get it immediately, he'll get it after the Dems sweep the 2010 mid-terms, which they will if McCain is in office. Obama will push amnesty but the GOP in Congress would resist it and maybe even filibuster it. They’d eventually bow to McCain, though.

I think McCain can beat Obama in the election, not because he’s a good candidate, but because Obama will likely melt down by then and people will start fearing his leftism and inexperience. I’ve been posting for days that McCain can win this. Whether it’s for the best or not is a different matter. Short term, he’s not as bad as Obama or Hillary, but long term he’s worse for the future of the party and our nation.

Go ahead and vote for a liberal then.

I won't. You won't convince me otherwise. Bye.
