The local Fox affiliate in the Twin Cities finally confirms what the local papers didn’t seem to want to mention about the horrible school bus accident that killed four children. It didn’t have to happen:

Authorities have confirmed that the the driver of the van that struck the school bus that killed 4 students on Tuesday is an illegal alien.

Officials at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement are checking to see where she came from and how long she’s been in Minnesota. FOX 9 has also learned that the name she gave to police, Alainiss Morales, is an alias.

23-year-old Alainiss N. Morales was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation. She was arrested by the State Patrol Thursday afternoon and is being held in Lyon County Jail. County Attorney Rick Maes told the Marshall Independent charges could come later Thursday or Friday…The van was driven by Alianiss N. Morales, 23, of Minneota. The Fox 9 Investigator found

I suppose we are to never let them out of the house? I am not opposed to homeschooling but these illegals are everywhere. They are affecting EVERY facet of American life not just the schools.

Too many accidents and fatalities from unsafe school buses. If you homeschool them, they aren’t on them twice a day every day there’s school, driving in God knows what kid of weather to boot.

Living in Texas, it’s obvious that these people don’t have a clue how to drive at all. It is a very dangerous situation. They take off when they shouldn’t, then they sit still when they should go forward. They have little judgement of speed and closing rates. In crowded traffic, the only way it works is if everybody can depend on mutual understanding and compliance with the rules of driving.

Yes, I know it's an update. I wanted to say the same thing in the other thread regarding your homeschooling ping but let it go. The idea that homeschooling will keep children safe from all harm is a bit absurd. Life goes on around them and bad things will happen to them unless you keep them locked up.

I wish there was a way to compare children hurt when parents drive them to school as opposed to children hurt on school buses. Do you know of a way?

I don’t put my kids under that care or authority of anyone I don’t know...not an instructor or a driver. Obviously the parents of all the kids on that bus put their kids under the care of someone they really didn’t know.

My kids ride the church bus. I know the man who drives it well. He’s a deacon in the church. Granted, you never know everything about everyone, but I see this man at least a couple of times a week in different aspects of service through our church. I know his family.

I saw an elderly man driving a school bus just yesterday and he looked like he could barely see out of the window...and I thought “How can parents put their kids on that bus with a easy mind?”

Yep, and thanks Ronald Reagan. Because of his amnesty program, a flood of illegals came across the border. Yes, George should do something about it NOW, but we have to acknowledge that the problem was greatly aggravated under a President that is almost deified by some.
