Liberal Fascism
by Jonah Goldberg

Description: “Fascists,” “Brownshirts,” “jackbooted stormtroopers”—such are the insults typically hurled at conservatives by their liberal opponents. Calling someone a fascist is the fastest way to shut them up, defining their views as beyond the political pale. But who are the real fascists in our midst?

Glenn's Comments: Fascism with a smiley face, it's already here.

Mentioned: January 14, 2008

So much for Headline News being a safe politically correct option for places like rest stops and airports.

I bet CNN gets tons of complaints, but what can they do, Glen's ratings are huge, especially for that channel.

I know, I know, I exaggerate a little bit just for effect. But am I right?

ooooh. good book. bought it at borders because barnes and noble employees couldn’t find it. they said “oh, THAT book!”

That's why I always go to Barnes & Noble for my conservative books. It's worth the extra price just to make those tofu eaters go look for the book, and then see the horrified look on their faces. Priceless.

I read ‘Liberal Fascism’ in National Review, excellent article. I didn’t know it was a book.

An excellent book. It keeps giving information all the way to the end. Unlike a recent Mark Steyn book (forget title) I read where every chapter is a repeat, Liberal Fascism is fascinating history and a great window through which to view modern politics.
