Draft Haley Barbour for VP.
Paid for by Draft Haley for Vice President ^ | 2-22-8 | Draft Haley for Vice President

Posted on 02/22/2008 4:26:39 PM PST by WKB

Help us convince the GOP nominee to pick Haley Barbour as his vice-presidential running mate; and help convince Haley to say, “YES!” Our goal is to deliver a petition signed by 50,000 GOP supporters to the presumptive GOP nominee and to Governor Barbour by March 1, 2008.

"we need him!"

True!
The entire country could use him!

I don't think that, if drafted, he would accept.
But, it surely is nice seeing a conservative in the news for a change. ;o)

Nope. A good southern conservative governor doesn’t need to be reduced to being an errand boy for a RINO.

Barbour actually has a future, so he should refuse.

Bravo, poindexter!

This idiot RINO was, along with Gingrinch, the man who helped destroy the Contract with America as RNC Chair. How could any conservative worth his/her salt support this blubbery RINO bozo?

I would not be surprised if McCain actually goes Left(er) of himself for a VP.

Barbour was absolutely one of the finest RNC chairs. Alas, after his duty as RNC Chair, he moved heavily into lobbying. Could be made an issue.

McCain/Barbour--Great. That way, in addition to a clothes pin, we'd need to take No-Doz before voting.

It's hard to think of a more uninspiring combo, except for maybe McCain/Lott, or McCain/Chafee, McCain Hagel...Just send us spinning into a maelstrom of despair and disgust. If anyone other than a real conservative is on that ticket, I predict massive Republican voter turn-off on election day.

Yes, lets get Haley Barbour into the Presidential race and leave the Governor’s chair of Mississippi to Jim Hood, Steve Holland, Billy McCoy, and the Black Legislative Caucus.

This would help an otherwise lame McCain carry the South. Barbour is the only person who could really help McCain and convince me to vote for the ticket.

I tried to get him to run for President this past year. His office was getting a lot of calls, but he felt the renewal after Katrina wasn’t completed.

I don’t know much about Barbour, but I’m done “drafting” folks into office.

I’m just now coming out of my FredFunk.

McCain will have plenty to worry about among Christian Conservatives. Haley Barbour is too old? How about McCain?

Well McCain’s on the ticket regardless. However we can agree there’s no point in putting a second old person on it, can we not?

Not to mention, Barbour is homely, overweight, and talks like he’s had a tonguectomy or his mouth is full of peanut butter. Why is there such a longing for southern fried hick politicians in some quarters of the Republican party? Huckabee, now Barbour. Enough already!
