Obama camp on defense on Michelle Obama big mouth
ME!

Posted on 02/23/2008 2:14:37 AM PST by Southerngl

My first vanity ever.

I was called last night by Zogby (boy I felt special!!)

After the usual 'how do you feel about candidates, blah blah blah' they snuck in the question "Are you familiar with Michelle Obama's statement about how it was the first time she was proud of her country" and of course the guy (who was really nice by the way) got an earful about all the wonderful things that has happened in several years. They also asked if it would affect if I would vote Obama and I said yes (even thought I didn't admit I wouldn't have voted for him anyway)

Alot of really odd questions and ALOT about spouses, including Bill. I threw in one Clinton was enough and the guy laughed. Not politely, but a real laugh.

I felt so special guys, I never have been polled before. Much less by Zogby. Not that they can always be trusted, but still. I felt actually grown up. (OH GOD, WHAT AM I SAYING!>!> Please, someone pass the keg quick so redeem my youth)

Are you familiar with Michelle Obama's statement ...

Sounds like Zogby is push polling for Hillary. The same Zogby that says McCain would beat Hillary. No agenda there, I'm sure.

Obama has a low class, loud mouth wife, and a lot of people who will vote for him like and identify with that.

Re: Mrs. Obamma slandered this country

I hate to tell you, but in Christ’s view of how men should live, there would have been no “countries” and no borders.

Many people here pervert the teachings of Christ for their own agendas.

“Seems as though that Ivy League veneer is rather thin - - and cracking.”

Hers was an affirmative action admission to Princeton. Even she admitted she didn’t have the grades non-affirmative action applicants had to get in. I think her words were: “My grades weren’t that hot.”

You sound like one of those violent, not very nice types of Christians. One person said something not complimentary of Obama’s wife. In response, you said something not complimentary of that person. That makes you no better. No worse either, but certainly no better.

Dear Person,

Congratulations of being Polled, people generally are quite taken by someone wanting their opinion. In sales, I have made a career of asking people all sorts of information about their views and opinions, and they just open up with all sorts of information. That being said, you can guess that I do not do polls.

Getting to Michells-O's thesis and her words, much should not be made about how she felt then and now as I have observed a real underpinning of these same thoughts in the younger black-males that I work with. Most young Hispanics feel that all whites are racist, and the few that they meet that are not must have "mixed" blood.

The average young black males seems to suppress their inner feelings of being segregated by a white-society, and that even Hispanics are more accepted in the general society over the average black male.

These feelings from both of these groups will foster some very deep seeded anger at their current situation, and could explain why there is little to no cooperation within their communities with law enforcement, even if the crime was done by one of their own. But, this feeling of circling the wagons was also present in the immigrant communities of the last century and led to many protection associations that grew into gangs.

This is not a dissimilar situation than that which grew out of the "projects" and "streets" of Chicago with the "GD" (Gangster Deciples) and others, or the "Bloods" and "Crips" in LA. Though the Latino community has their own versions as does the Whites.

But returning to to Michelle-O's words, this woman has views not too dissimilar than that society of which she grew up in, and her words are really not as startling to hear if taken in the context of when and how she grew up.

I have generally found that the least racially aware individuals have been found in the GOP, and that the Dems seem to suffer from White-guilt for being born white, successful and with so many opportunities that are not seemingly offered to other ethnic societies. This is why these people flock to the Dems and are so passionate about liberal ideas and programs. They want to assuage their guilt with everyone else's money.

I would be surprised if Michelle-O didn't want to speak her mind; she's educated, literate and has her own passion. We do not have to agree with that passion, but she has a right to it. The question will be, if her husband wins the general election in November, will she turn out to be something between Jackie-O or Barbara-B, or, will she be a slightly different version of Hillary-C?

By the way, in closing. I voted early here in Texas, a straight ticket as I have for thirty-seven years; straight GOP. As the Texas ballot has all of the candidates, even those that have already pulled out of the race, I then voted a straight Conservative ticket by voting for Fred Thompson. Some would say that I gave my vote away or that it was a suicide vote. I voted my principles and convictions, what our votes are meant to be. I could not bring myself to "pimp" my vote by crossing the aisle and voting for Barrack, no matter how much I detest Hillary.

Still voting my conscience.

What? I would really love to see your Scripture references for that one. Did Mike Huckabee teach you that?

All I got was a phone call from Barack reminding me to vote early and a flyer from Hillary.

I love it when they waste their time and $$$$ on me! Hillary "has real solutions for me and Texas?"

Congrats on being polled!

Good for you.

I got polled back in the late 1980s concerning our nuclear strategic deterrence policy. The fellow was very knowledeable and asked tough questions. After he asked a technical question concerning Albania and its nuclear options, I figured the guy was a bored crank amusing himself or a Russian spy trying to pump me for information - and I know nothing, nothing about nuclear anything.

I hung up.

“If Obama has a low class loud mouth wench for a wife, then it will absolutely work against his election.”

If Obama loses the election, I expect Michelle to get her own TV show like judge joe brown.

If Obama wins the election, I expect her to do one of those booty humping dances seen on BET.( black entertainment trash)

Spoken like a true Christian. You must be a different denomination than me.

The definition of Christianity isn't "will accept anything". Do you remember the story where Jesus threw the money changers out of the Temple? He didn't "feel their pain" or empathize with them or accept their differences. He made a judgment and threw them out. I have to assume your position in life is not "to be a Christian" but to sanctimoniously attempt to use Christianity against believers.

Could you quote the section of the Bible that supports your position? I seems to have missed that part.

You know, it’s in the fifth gospel of Marx. Chapter 1, verse 1 I believe - all will give up all to any via the central government upon the goadings of guilt-ridden crusaders.
