The van driver who witnesses says hit a school bus, killing four children, appeared in court Friday. She gave her name as Alianiss Nunez Morales, but authorities say this is not her real name.
There's a brisk trade in false documents in the state, spurring some legislators to call for crackdowns....

All Americans should be protesting in the streets.
When will our LAWS be ENFORCED??????????????????
YES!
Just giving credit to the current deciders.
"Illegal aliens commit 12 murders every day in the U.S. and kill another 13 daily through drunk driving incidents.
That's more than 9,000 people killed every year by illegal aliens.
On average eight children are sexually abused by illegal aliens every day
that's over 2,920 annually. And that's just a small portion of the illegal alien crime wave.
some 4.1 million crimes by illegal aliens. "
Raises issues? The issue has been raised over and over, time and time again and nothing is done. Raises the issue? How many Americans have to be killed by illegals before we consider the question raised?
“The porosity of the border has been a problem since before Reagan.”
I’d say it’s been a problem since the 1790s, but far lower populations and fewer incentive for Mexicans to enter the US in the agricultural days probably made things seem like a very minor problem.
But all the things that were supposed to reduce illegal immigration: the Maquiladora plants starting in the 1960s, NAFTA in the early ‘90s, with the successive implementation of various provisions, have only served to increased illegal entries by large margins.
As a serious problem, I think it started post-WWII when Eisenhower had to deal with it. Since, business interests on both sides of the border have been allowed to determine policies and we have what we have today.
I wish to hell it would “bring up the issue” of government malfeasance and corruption.
WOW What a revalation “crash raises issues on fake ID’s”.
I’m sure family memebers and parents of these law breakers consider this an issue to. Political skunks muddying the waters for us so we don’t come back at them 10 fold.
how many years have I been paying insurance "just in case" and these people don't even have legit driving licenses let alone insurance....
Yeah, but we deported them back then.
Deported? President Ronald Reagan granted amnesty to illegal immigrants when he signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 that affected mostly Latino immigrants living in the United States since 1982.
So, that makes it alright? No one can step up to the plate and change this sorry situation just because it's been going on a long time?
The porosity of the border has been a problem since before Reagan and Reagan granted amnesty! The border issue was not created by Bush and McCain but was born of neglect over decades. The solutions cannot be implemented by any President absent congressional funding. My post responsed to an unfair blame Bush and McCain comment. I had thought that only “the leftists believe that every sparrows’ fall from the sky is a direct responsibility of George W Bush!”
I have heard that Reagan’s recently-published “Diaries” show that he signed the amnesty on the understanding that Congress would fund vastly-increased border enforcement. The funding never came.
But, unless you’re trying to make Bush and McCain look good by denigrating Reagan, all that is irrelevant. The question is: How have our CURRENT leaders addressed the problem? The answer is: both Bush and McCain favor no coherent enforcement.
No. I’m not blaming the past on this President. I am, however, blaming him for not doing nearly enough to fix it.

The blood of the children is on their smug faces.
Nice try.
When Reagan faced the problem it was a wet spot on the pavement, and Congress and the bureaucrats promised to wipe it up.
Now it’s a flood 20 feet deep, and McCain and Bush and ALL the Democrats are opening the water mains all the way.
