Following your theory, it is therefore vitally important who gets the VP nod. Myself, I am sort of partial to Haley Barbour.
Should change the name to Reliable Whitewashes. This is totally BS. I loath John McCain but this was pure National Esquire style gutter reporting. NY Times all ready shake professional reputation is even more seriously stained by their decision to run this story.
Any College Journalists who handed in a story reporting 8 year old rumors about fears of a possible romantic involvement between a University President and a vendor rep would be laughed out of his Journalism class. Utterly NO way to rationalize or manufacture a possible situation where rumors about fears about hearsay could be possible justified in a professional "news" story.
Gutter rumor mongering by a gutter press staff at an organization with utterly no credibility as a news source from here on out.
I'm not buying a bolt of lightning simultaneously hit all Fla. rinos from Crist/Martinez on down one weekend.

Black Oblack has not likely peaked. You have to remember that for Dims, politics takes the place of their religion and Bama will become a Jesus figure for them. This could become a cult following for the starving Party and extremely hard to stop.
InSain has his work cut out for him w/o a Base. He can do it but it is going to be a tough task considering every reporter will start their sentance with “Old”.

I’ve been to a let of sites on the left. Now that the deal seems sealed, they’re nervous. We know they never think of consequences, but now they’re starting to dig. Backwards... but i’m glad they are.
I like Haley Barbour. He is tremendous resource for Republicans.
Of course, the way politics is played around here, someone will offer up some reason to oppose him as ‘too liberal’.
I don’t know what’s with these people. Do they think that if they REALLY and TRULY, with all their heart, believe a story, that it must therefore be true?
It’s like the Dan Rather thing. With no documentation, with nothing but air as resource, they make up a story out of whole cloth.
For surely George Dubya was a gadabout as a youth, surely he lacked the discipline to show up every day for practice.
And so surely must McCain have had an affair with the pretty lobbyist, surely...surely?
And thus it must be and when the world reacts with shock and demands of proof, they wonder why we cannot see the obvious.
