I ask people what they know or hear about health care for veterans. They all have ‘heard’ griping about VA care.

I do the same thing. Being in the military, I use the "Remember your weapon was manufactured by the lowest bidder" comment. I tell them their government mandated health care will be the same and they won't be able to choose. That usually shuts them up.

I Know what you are saying Tom,the rock star factor,(since there is absolutely no substance or accomplishments) but you are assuming that the rats can assemble a 50% plus 1 stupid vote, and while it’s possible, I hope the country has not sunk that low.

Some of them might not know who to vote for unless their choices on the ballot are “the woman or the black guy”.

I’ll verify that all of Merryland is suffering from buyer’s remorse right about now.

I scratch my head and wonder why they hell they fired Ehrlich!

The very fine, very, very fine and honest O’Malley raised sales taxes in Merryland and the whole state is up in arms.

Well duh.

Ehrlich saved Baltimore schools and now the dip who replaced O’Malley as Mayor is methodically destroying them again.

I think a pubbie will win in Merryland, at least as Governor, handily, next go round.

A national lesson could be learned from Merryland is what I’m saying here.

Kaine says that Hillary has to win Texas and Ohio or she has to get out; Corzine says that Hillary is going to great in Texas and Ohio, and she turns the momentum around when she wins those states. BUT, we need to coalesce around a candidate, but that has to be Hillary.

Both Govs say they are super delegates, and Kaine says that the supers should go with the popular vote. Corzine agrees. Supers will go with the popular vote. But Corzine thinks Ms. Hillary will come out on top.

MN: (Pawlenty)...MN is a competitive “purple” state.

Pure wishful thinking. MN is a reliably blue state that gets fed up enough with it's urban socialist Democrat machine politicians every so often to punish them by electing a moderate Republican to this or that state wide office every once in awhile. Minnesota has not gone to a Republican Presidential candidate since 1972. It not going to go to one this year.

Can’t wait to hear Rendell gloss over his own comments about racists in PA.
I’m in PA, the “Alabama” part between P’burgh and Philly. There’s a lot of irritation over his insulting remarks. Numerous Dems I have talked to, and independents also, are voting for Obama. NOT ONE admits to preferring Hillary!

Every word so sad but true.

This country, ie the big parties, really need to sit down and rethink their nomination process.

Up until now I think, the nominee always managed to be someone who pretty much appeased the masses.

This year everyone was surprised.

I predict pubbie membership will drop dramatically unless McCain pulls a spectacular.

I’m hearing all kinds of rumors about Condaleeza as a running mate for McCain.

Well hell, I’d have to stop and think about this although I don’t believe it for a minute.

“Of course it does. First the drive-bys pick our nominee. Now they’ll pick his running mate. Can’t wait for them to pick the Cabinet. Wonder who the Times is considering for Secretary of State?”

The sad thing is, McCain will probably take their advice!

Here is the WP advice to McCain(eye roll):

Of course it does. First the drive-bys pick our nominee. Now they’ll pick his running mate. Can’t wait for them to pick the Cabinet. Wonder who the Times is considering for Secretary of State?

They will probably put Hagel at the top of the MSM fav list for SOS!!

I agree that a young, dynamic (preferably conservative) Southerner would be the optimal choice for McCain.

But, I’m optimistic about any McCain ticket against the Marxist democrats.

Saint Obama cannot remain above media scrutiny forever.

The higher the pedestal, the farther the fall.

Point out to them that National Health care systems generate much poorer service and care rationing at much higher costs everywhere they have been tried. So given the dozens of nations who have tried, and failed, with a National Health Care service, why do they think the USA is magically going to succeed where everyone else has failed?

Probably, I wasn’t here then. I was an ex-pat.

)))

I don’t think I made my point earlier when I referenced the America in Miniature analogy. I was thinking about the ability of Americans to swallow “HOPE” as a reason to go to the polls. I was not thinking about Md’s electoral votes.

Obama is a CabbagePatch doll, a male Paris Hilton or J-Lo, or whatever is the fad of the moment.

There will be stupendous buyer’s remorse if he wins, but I see that he can sway the majority of voters, when he is pitted against ‘the grandfather, the old guy, the old grouch, etc”

Funny you should say that. I was thinking along similar lines just a bit ago but decided to not post it. Graham is one of the few people who likes McCain so picking him would not surprise me.

Unfortunately, McCain will probably take the NYT advice

Here is what the WP wants him to do: (eye roll)

From the sounds of it apparently Obama thinks the New Deal didn’t go far enough.

'Some of them might not know who to vote for unless their choices on the ballot are “the woman or the black guy”.'

LOL!!! Thankfully, the students who were asking are too young to vote. But you have to wonder what the parents are saying at home.
