Bush's Kosovo policy, like Chamberlain's Munich policy, could lead to war

History has been a harsh critic of Neville Chamberlain's decision in 1938 to allow Adolf Hitler to trash the WWI Versailles peace treaty to seize control of and change the borders Europe, first France in the Rhineland, then Czechoslovakia and Poland. President George W. Bush's quick acceptance of the efforts of the Albanians in Kosovo to change the borders of Serbia will also be viewed in history as an appeasement that did not work.

World War II actually began when Adolf Hitler marched a mere 14,500 troops into the Rhineland on March 7, 1936, in violation of the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I and the Locarno Treaty which was signed in 1925 that included the "Rhineland Pact" between Germany, France, Belgium, Britain and Italy. The Rhineland Pact's main provision was an agreement among Germany, France and Belgium end border raids, with Britain and Italy agreeing to guarantee the borders in the event of aggression by any of the other states. ... Kosovo is for Serbia a land somewhat similar to what Pennsylvania is to Americans. Kosovo is the cradle of Serbian liberty and the center of their Serbian culture. There are hundreds of structures, churches, monuments, monasteries, that attest to that history. What has happened in Kosovo, with America's help, would be similar to a large group of Islamic fundamentalists, whose hero and mentor is Osama Bin Laden, moving into Pennsylvania over the next 50 years, as Albanians did in Kosovo in the 20th Century, and then voting to become an Independent State with membership in the United Nations, as they burned down the Christian churches, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell while driving out and seizing the property of the remaining Christians, Jews and non-Churched homeowners.

well worded though it’s a hsame that many of the public and most at the media have no idea or refuse to tell the people that it was actually albanians who started ethnic cleansing.

they are haiving a right laugh, they plot to our downfall and we support them in their ethinic cleansing along with their spreading of islam

amazing that wesley clark gets rewarded for a run at the presidency, clinton is hailed as a great president by the dims and now Bush thinks he’s mastered peace there

should be clinton and wesley clark in the hague on war crimes and ethnic cleansing, Bush should be well I’m speeachless whe it comes to his second term

that would be christiana ammanpour

I remember her on the albania border saying how those poor albanian muslims were being treated yet she never showed the 200,000 serbs who had done the same before this, she never showed the many more thousands fleeing when serbia was bombed.

nah no bias from her or CNN on this was there

yea disgusting how they did things those serbs

I mena they were fighting a war against albanian muslims, and when they were winning against them clinton said hey lets do some muslims appeasment and also take the attention away from monic so we bomb them, help the albanina muslims do their ethnic cleansing and then reward the albanian muslims by giving a peice of christian land to them

still the serbs only lost thousenads thorugh clintons bombing, they only had their land taken away from them and so what if their economy was ruined and more peple had to flee their own country

Here is a hint - when the US and the EU tell you to do something, bloody do it.

It isn't complicated.

Jason is either on a wind up or just very short of the facts here

It’s amazing how the MSM have spun this to side with the albanian muslims spreading islam through force and how clinton did the right thing by saving those poor albanian muslims

So you are completely ignorant of the 200+ Serbian Orthodox Christian churches and monasteries that have been destroyed in Kosovo.

You should try to educate yourself while there’s time.

Not Christian?

Please tell me, then, what kind of church was the Serbian Orthodox Church I attended today? Hindu? We prayed for the American armed forces and the President, as we do at every Divine Liturgy. We prayed to the Holy Trinity. We recited the Nicean Creed. What is it about the Orthodox Church that makes it non-Christian?

We prayed that war would not break out in Kosovo and that God would deliver the Serbian people from the Muslim yoke, which they endured for 500 years before.

You’ve watched? From where have you watched? What are your credentials that make you such an expert? CNN? Or perharps you were deployed in Kosovo after the bombing and the Serbs weren’t waving American flags for you. Do you speak *any* of the variants of Serbo-Croatian, or is that a “monkey language” to someone so evolved? How about Albanian?

The Serbs were Christian long before most of our Western ancestors could read.

Some of the Serbs were forced out of Kosovo by the communist government in the 1980s, which supported the ethnic cleansing of Serbs from the region since Serbs were the least trusted ethnic groups by the communists. The saw America as their great friend. Now they’ve been betrayed. They are going to the only country offering help, Russia.

The Serbs don’t trust the Russians, but the betrayal by the United States has been very bitter.

I would suggest you either get an education or find a past time in which you can be successful.

I really believe contemporary Serbs wouldn't know Jesus Christ if they met him on the street. I really believe they'd as soon shoot him as listen to him for twenty seconds. I really believe they are, taken in the large in their public political conduct, immoral psychopathic scum and unfit for the modern world, and they need to learn humility yesterday.

Besides the things they worry about and the way they act on those worries, there is their choice of friends and enemies. A sure sign of rotters, all the way down. Iran? No problem. Putin? The cat's whiskers. Europe? Well, they want all their money but not to actually listen to them about anything.

You've got a PR problem. Burning down US embassies isn't going to solve it.

exactly

so because the US tells a christian country to give up it’s land to radical muslims we should do that

OK maybe that’s why they might have felt betrayed by the US
the kosovo war never started when the serb army went into their own country to rid it of radical islam it did start before that

Are you aware of this or are you just believeing the likes of CNN

Serbia won’t exist at all if they try to take Kosovo from the US troops which occupy it.

Ha, while there is time.

Serbians should decide to join modern civilization, instead of murdering their children along with their neighbors.
