Decision Analyst is the first pollster to proclaim Barack Obama as the leader in either of the two big states that vote on March 4: Texas, Ohio.
Pictured to the left is Jerry Thomas, CEO of DecisionAnalyst.com.
They say that they carefully selected the demographic compositions used in their polls. Most pollsters thus far have not been fully representing the support Barack Obama gets at the polls because the demographic composition of those going out to the polls tend to be under-represented in traditional polling based on previous turnout.
According to the Democratic Texas poll by Decision Analyst:
As the second most populous state, Texas delegate count is large, and an Obama win of the magnitude indicated by our survey would most likely propel Obama to the Democratic nomination, according to Jerry W. Thomas, President/CEO of Decision Analyst. It is still two weeks to the March 4 election, and many things can happen, but as of today, Obama has a commanding lead.
The issues of greatest importance to those who plan to vote in the Democratic Primary are (in order of importance): making healthcare more affordable (chosen by 35%); making the economy stronger and better (chosen by 29%); bringing the troops home from Iraq (28%); leadership (ability to manage government, work with world leaders, get things done) (17%); reducing gasoline prices and the cost of energy (16%).
According to the Democratic Ohio poll by Decision Analyst:
The issues of greatest importance to those who plan to vote in the Democratic Primary are (in order of importance): providing good healthcare for everyone (chosen by 36%); bringing the troops home from Iraq (31%); making the economy stronger and better (31%); reducing unemployment, creating more job opportunities (23%); reducing gasoline prices and the cost of energy (19%); leadership (ability to manage government, work with world leaders, get things done) (18%).
According to the Republican Texas poll by Decision Analyst:
The issues of greatest importance to those who will vote in the Republican Primary are very different from the Democratic voters. The key Republican issues: protecting the U.S. from illegal immigration (39%); fighting terrorism (31%); making the economy stronger and better (29%); character (honesty, ethics, and integrity of candidate) (27%); leadership (ability to manage government, work with world leaders, get things done) (19%).

Whatever it is it’s happening and it’s going to be historic by all accounts. Historic. Epochal. Interesting times we live in.
Remember THIS ? If Hillary! gets the nomination you ain't seen nothing yet. I won't take the chance.
Yes indeed. We need Hillary still in the hunt so as to insure a full blown riot at their convention.
In addition, I would want to see an autopsy report.
Neah. I want her to destroy the Democrat party in her fight to be the presidential candidate.
Face it, the Democrat party has gone from being a “Left/Center” party to being the party of treason. It needs to be destroyed.
I thought someone said a Huckster win in Texas would prohibit McLame from getting the necessary delegates to crown himself prior to the convention.
BS, anyone that wants to play Russian roulette with hillary putting bill on the supreme court has a screw lose.
“I thought someone said a Huckster win in Texas would prohibit McLame from getting the necessary delegates to crown himself prior to the convention.”
I hope so.
Compared to Carter, Johnson and (FD) Roosevelt, Clinton was a pretty good president. These are low standards, to be sure, but there it is.
The only reason Bill Clinton even remotely 'seemed' to be a decent president is due to Newt Gingrinch and a Republican Congress keeping Clinton's Dumb A$$ honest.
But the warlock is alive...
Ping!
I’ve speculated that the D party might do the same for Hillary as a “go away gift”.
Who would you choose, between the 2 if Obama is POPTUS?
I respectfully remind you that this is the PRIMARY. O is moving large numbers of radical democraps, not "everyday people".
White guilt is a huge factor.
White guilt is a liberal phenomenon. It's arguable whether or not it even exists in moderates and conservatives... but even if it does, it is worn only as a badge among one's friends... and evaporates when the ballot is marked in secret in the voting booth.
If he wins the D nomination outright, he ^will^ be the next POTUS.
At this juncture, I respectfully disagree. O's message has not been tested against the electorate, only in the echo chamber of the D primary. And his negatives and liabilities are only now being explored.
We need a brokered convention with several attempts at theft by Hillary. That will destroy her credibility and weaken Obama considerably.
A nasty convention fight that bloodies both candidates and airs all their dirty linen is one acceptable outcome, IMO, but I'd still prefer to see hillary destroyed outright BEFORE the convention. But I think the "bloody convention" outcome is only possible if Obama is well ahead going into the convention. Even if he basically ties OH and TX, he will NOT be well ahead, if you take into account superdelegates and Clintoon dirty tricks. So, in fact, the "bloody convention" argument is one more reason to support O in the primary.
Without D in-fighting, McCain will be toast in the GE.
Again, I respectfully disagree. But, assuming for the sake of argument you're right... do we really want a guy for President who is too stupid and clumsy to beat an empty suit Marxist? Johnny is a big boy. He needs to get his $hit together and build a campaign that can shred EITHER H or O. My goal in this primary is not to try to guess who JMC can handle the easiest. My goal is to vote for the good of the country -- and that's AGAINST hillary.
Oh I am SO Loving watching karma in the making right in front of my eyes.
I agree. Lets face it...he may do great in the democrat primaries where dippy teenagers and guilt ridden white liberals are willing to slobber all over him but this country is not ready to elect anyone named Barack Hussein Obama as President. Never gonna happen.

Not that I don’t agree with your desire there, but they also said God couldn’t sink the Titanic.
Noooooooooooooo we don’t. We want her packing her bags and catching the first flight back to Washington and her Senate seat where she will become a “has been.”
We voted early here in Texas and we DID NOT VOTE FOR MC PAIN!
You got it COUNTrecount! That’s what we want too. Get her out of there and get her out of there now. Never, Never, Never ASSUME that she couldn’t beat whomever is the Republican nomineee. NOoooooo, this facade needs to end now and Obama is the one who can do it.
