Clinton and the press [UPDATED]
Clinton’s communications director, Howard Wolfson, delivered some really heated criticism of the press on a conference call just now.
Halperin has audio, and here’s a transcript.
I think it is true that every time the Obama campaign in this campaign has attacked Senator Clinton in the worst kind of personal ways, attacked her veracity, attacked her credibility, said that she would say or do anything to get elected, the press has largely applauded him. When we have attempted to make contrasts with Senator Obama, we have been criticized for it.
That is a fact of life that we labor under.
And so I reject the notion that Senator Clinton has been engaged in this sort of seriatim attacks on Senator Obama. I think Senator Obama’s entire campaign against Senator Clinton is negative. I think he has run against her as the status quo. He has essentially called her divisive. He has called her untruthful. He has quesitoned her credibility. He has said she will do or say anything to get elected. If that’s not negative, I don’t know what is.

The term “Mutually Assured Destruction” comes to mind...
anything she does makes her look like a mean, petty, and jealous ...
and stupid ... and anti-American ... and fat .... and sheesh , those cankles ... and shrill ... and power hungry ... and souless ... and ...
What should never be forgotten about the Clintons is their unspoken mantra: “It’s all about ME.”
This is the be-all and end-all for Hillary. She’s calculated everything she’s done to become president and now that she’s so close she will not quit. She’ll do whatever it takes - lie, cheat, steal, blackmail and worse to get what she wants. I think The Swimmer knows that, and that’s why he threw in with Obama. The Kennedys will have a life after the election - the Clinton’s WON’T.
To be honest, I really feel that this is the most dangerous time for Obama. I don’t think he’ll be able to stand up to honest (ROFL) press scrutiny after the primaries are settled, but he’s got to survive what the Clinton’s will unleash.

She does have the "war room" of course! That alone should tell voters who she is. That sweet little thing is not Hillary, and we know it. The real Hillary has taken the stage now.
What is sickening is her surrogates trying to say her attacks aren't planned. PLEEZE!!!
Even if she were as bright as her disciples claim, her voice is so unpleasant no one will hang around long enough to listen.
There's no way in hell I want to listen to her screaching out the SOTU like a banshee.
NOTHING happens in that campaign with it being planned and approved..nothing..

Yes, and vicious, backstabbing, lying, unprincipled, willing to do anything to win, ill-tempered screaming marxist shrew.
It is kinda of amazing, most campaigns have its fair share of dirty tricks, smears, and just rough tactics; but anything Hillary tries against obama won’t stick. In fact unlike most politicians, when Obama calls something a dirty trick that becomes the story. “Hillary is desperate”, “Hillary is Slinging mud” that becomes the news; hell even Bill got caught up in it. I think Hillary could produce a tape showing Obama doing drugs, drowning kittens; all while being satisfied by another man and the media would make the story about Hillary going negative against the golden child.

To me the far more interesting question these days will be what would the witch do if she loses the nomination to Obama. Support, step back and be neutral or actively work to undermine his general election campaign?

Hillary will soon be delivering the power of the evil master she serves onto Obama’s head.
Heck, as a product of the Chicago Democratic machine he's probably tied to a lot of unsavory American types!
Slightly off-topic, but I laugh when I read in another article about the concern that Obama may face danger from crazed rednecks and rightwingers should he maintain this level of success (the MLK thing).
First, as Rush says, Obama’s campaign probably cooked that story up themselves to make him look more brave and presidential...
Second and more importantly, Obama has one helluva lot more to FEAR from the Clinton Machine and all its evil than he’ll ever face from any other group of garden-variety racist idiots!

Hillary’s “Outraged” Tour 2008 continues into the week before Texas and Ohio show her the door once more. As Novak says who has the courage to “bell the cat?” The crowds are sparse for Hill and Bill to rant their message. but the news media don’t want this to end quite yet. Jerry Ferraro needs to gain the courage of the New York delegation and tell Hill to shut up. Her adoring crowds, all fifteen of them cheer madly, take their state provided medications and go back to sleep.
