Wisconsin 2004: "The reports of more ballots cast than voters recorded were found to be true."
National Review Online ^ | 02/26/08 | Jim Geraghty

We're continually told that Republicans are being paranoid when they want voters to show ID to prevent fraud.

Well, take a look at a newly-released investigation of the Milwaukee Police Department on voter fraud in the 2004 election — the year, as you'll recall, that John Kerry carried Wisconsin by about 11,000 votes out of almost 3 million.

The first screaming conclusion: "The reports of more ballots cast than voters recorded were found to be true."

UPDATE: This is fascinating reading, and huge, as it obliterates the "voter fraud is an urban legend" argument.

Page 8: "For example, a woman residing in the 4900 block of N. 18th with no recorded date of birth listed is also recorded in the 4900 block of N. 108th with a date of birth. This voter did reside at the N. 108th address at the time of the November General Election. She is now registered to vote and, more important, recorded as voting in two different Wards in the City of Milwaukee."

During a section dealing with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the report states, "over 10 percent of the ballots cast in Ward 39 during the 2004 General Election were not properly certified by the Election Inspectors or were ineligible to be cast in this Ward." (page 23) "Over 2600 additional persons who do not live in Sandburg Hall are registered and able to vote from an address where they do not reside."

any precinct where more votes are cast than voters registered forfeits their votes from being counted. Ha ha ha!

Exactly....that will roast their acorns!

My brother, who lives in San Francisco, tells about attempting to register as a Republican when he moved into the city.

He mailed in his registration information with his party affiliation listed as "Republican". He got no voter card.

Three weeks later, he did the same thing. After two weeks, still no voter card.

Once more, he submitted a registration application and, once more, got no response.

Then he decided to register as a Democrat . . . . . . his voter card arrived in four days.

I like this idea. It’s not as invasive as a biometric chip mentioned above (scary idea.)

I’m actually more worried about diebold vote counting fraud than actual people voting multiple times fraud. There is a funny video over at “The Onion” right now about Diebold accidentally releasing the election results early. Really good.

I’ve also heard about Karl Rove’s mailers with regards to vote manipulation. (You send out mailers to voter addresses requesting that they be responded to and returned. If they are not returned it is assumed that the voter does not live at the address and the vote is challenged and tosses out. You won’t even be aware that your vote didn’t count.) Can’t say for sure if it’s true but I bet there’s dirty tricks all around. It’s probably something he learned from the dems.

I hate to be paranoid but sometimes you just can’t help yourself.

“until some D.A. somewhere in the country grabs this bull by the horns”

The Democrats have this program down.
When a DA begins to research this stuff, they run to the media and scream “Political Bias”, or the dreaded “RACISM!!!”. End of Career....

When the boss of the DA’s demands action, and replaces those US Attorneys who won’t investigate voter fraud, Democrats scream “SCANDAL!!” to the media, and demand congressional hearings, call for President’s impeachment, as well as the removal of the head of the Justice Department...

We live in a MEDIA SOCIETY, folks. And the Democrats play the Propaganda game far better than we do...

I live in Wisconsin and I think it was really neat to see that Hillary had to put up with the cheating that goes on in black areas like the Republicans do year in and year out. They get a least a extra 35,000 votes from cheating every election.

No body goes into the black areas to check out the voting fraud because of being a afraid.

Fraud happened then and soon will be happening now (if it hasn’t already!)

In 2000 Bush lost by 5000 votes.

There are two areas with a propensity to vote fraud: absentee ballots and inner cities. So, eliminate absentee ballots except for the military, and use the “inked thumb” for everyone else.

There. Fixed.

Unfortunately, that fix has about as much chance as requiring photo ID.

In Maryland in 1994, people who were known ot be in prison or dead voted anyway. Apparently, they voted heavily for Parris Glendening, who won by fewer votes than teh number of “disputed” ones.

Why does this happen predominantly in Dimmycrap states?

And if I'm reading it correctly, on page 8 of the original report it states the following: So are they saying that just in the City of Milwaukee alone - there were 5,429 more ballots cast than registered voters!?

And Kerry won by about 11,000 for the whole state.

Homeless bums, felons, illegal aliens and college students... gee I wonder who these folks cast more of their illegal and duplicate votes for, Kerry or Bush? Hmmm.....

“I am VERY wary for this November...”

With regard to voter and vote fraud, this Nov. will be a bloodbath.

it obliterates the "voter fraud is an urban legend" argument.

The "voter fraud is an urban legend" argument applies only when Democrats win.

“We live in a MEDIA SOCIETY, folks. And the Democrats play the Propaganda game far better than we do...”

Very true. I believe it is because we, for the most part, are honest and they believe that the end justifies the means. The means they use include lies, distortions, race baiting, “for the chidren”, and many other outright deceptions.

Do you remember the red and blue County map after Bush's second win? The blue counties like Cook County in Illinois go through the paper when shown as a pie chart. NYC is the same. St Louis Mo is another. Anywhere you think of voter fraud is a blue county.

The other irony is that the country was mostly red when counted county by county.
