While the NYTs prints a foolish attack piece with lots of innuendo about the Republican nominee, they remain silent on a story that is quite big AND has plenty of evidence to suggest wrongdoing.
Something which you can bet your bottom dollar will see the light of day over and over and over again if Obama is the nominee.
No fawning over the Messiah by the English press here. Hell, they even put up a picture of Obama that isnt flattering:
The story itself is well done, but can get convoluted at times with all the figures. Here is the cast. First up is Nadhmi Auchi, a European billionaire with a scandalous past:
(Excerpt) Read more at floppingaces.net ...
A British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions of dollars to Barack Obama's fundraiser just weeks before an imprudent land deal that has returned to haunt the presidential contender, an investigation by The Times discloses.
The money transfer raises the question of whether funds from Nadhmi Auchi, one of Britains wealthiest men, helped Mr Obama buy his mock Georgian mansion in Chicago.
A company related to Mr Auchi, who has a conviction for corruption in France, registered the loan to Mr Obama's bagman Antoin "Tony" Rezko on May 23 2005. Mr Auchi says the loan, through the Panamanian company Fintrade Services SA, was for $3.5 million.
Three weeks later, Mr Obama bought a house on the city's South Side while Mr Rezko's wife bought the garden plot next door from the same seller on the same day, June 15.
Mr Obama says he never used Mrs Rezko's still-empty lot, which could only be accessed through his property. But he admits he paid his gardener to mow the lawn.
Mrs Rezko, whose husband was widely known to be under investigation at the time, went on to sell a 10-foot strip of her property to Mr Obama seven months later so he could enjoy a bigger garden.
Mr Obama now admits his involvement in this land deal was a boneheaded mistake.
Mrs Rezkos purchase and sale of the land to Mr Obama raises many unanswered questions.
It is unclear how Mrs Rezko could have afforded the downpayment of $125,000 and a $500,000 mortgage for the original $625,000 purchase of the garden plot at 5050 South Greenwood Ave.
In a sworn statement a year later, Mrs Rezko said she got by on a salary of $37,000 and had $35,000 assets. Mr Rezko told a court he had "no income, negative cash flow, no liquid assets, no unencumbered assets [and] is significantly in arrears on many of his obligations."
Mrs Rezko, whose husband goes on trial on unrelated corruption charges in Chicago on March 3, refused to answer questions about the case when she spoke by telephone to The Times.
Next, we can deal with the flop eared mooselimb thief from Al Capone's den of crooked politicians.
Osamaobama is a communist thief, but he is a rank amateur when compared to the klintoons.
So dirty Saddam Hussain Iraq money connections. Figures.
Just me how a guy goes from nothing to a 1.65 million dollar house even with a wife making $150,000 a year. It doesn’t happen; at that income the IRS is taking 35%. It doesn’ take a rocket scientist to figure out something is rotten in his finances.
I’m sure we will see this in the US Press at some point AFTER the November Elections...
This is Murdoch’s London paper breaking the story....
Remember Miegs Field
Boma, Rezko, etc Ping
The Clintons had James Riyadi. And Obama has Nadhmi Auchi.
Appears the Democratic Party is a wholly-owned subsidiary of foreign zillionaires. (Gee, I hope McCain doesn’t repudiate the preceding statement as offensive to the Democrats.)
Where is the wisdom of Mike Royko when you need it?
Royko was by far Chicagos most beloved political columnist. His scathingly brilliant, uproariously funny writings on the Chicago political machine not only shone a light in the dark corners of corruption, favoritism, and mobbed up businesses of Richard J. Daleys City Hall, he had fun doing it.
Auchi is emerging as a key figure in the corruption trial of Rezko and also played a part in one of Rezkos attempts to exploit his relationship with Obama. Obama denies he ever did any favors for Rezko or his associates but the crooked Obama fundraiser told prosecutors that after Auchi gave him another loan, he asked Obama to intervene with the State Department in order to get a visa for Auchi who was being denied entry into the US:
Prosecutors say that, after Mr Auchi was unable to enter the United States in 2005, Mr Rezko approached the US State Department to get him a visa and apparently asked certain Illinois government officials to do the same. Mr Obama denies he was approached. Mr Auchis lawyer has emphasised to The Times that it would be entirely false to imply that money had been lent by GMH to Mr Rezko in return for Mr Rezko seeking to assist Mr Auchi to obtain a visa. The two mens relationship, the lawyer stressed, was a busines s one.
Allow me to introduce you to Nadhmi Auchi. He was charged in the 1950s with being an accomplice of Saddam Hussein, when the future tyrant was acquiring his taste for blood. He was investigated in the 1980s for his part in alleged bribes to the fabulously corrupt leaders of post-war Italy. In the 1990s, the Belgium Ambassador to Luxembourg claimed that Auchis bank held money Saddam and Colonel Gadaffi had stolen from their luckless peoples. In 2002, officers from the Serious Fraud Squad raided the offices of one of Auchis drug companies as part of an investigation of what is alleged to be the biggest swindle ever of the NHS. With allegations, albeit unproven, like these hanging over him, wouldnt you think that British MPs would have the sense to stay away?
Perhaps you would, but I forgot to add a final fact about Mr Auchi: he is the thirteenth-richest man in Britain, and he has been able to collect British politicians the way other people collect stamps.
First of all, his business dealings make Rezkos kickback schemes for political contributions look like the minor leagues of sleaze. Auchi had a hand in the biggest political and corporate scandal in post war Europe, the so-called Elf Affair where $2 billion francs up and disappeared from the French state oil company Elf.
Yep, just like the Jeff Gerth/NYT Whitewater piece which appeared the day AFTER Election Day 1992, after being held up for months.
Not making a connection....what’s the story...?
Very good news for Republicans, politically.
This is probably not going to be a definitive campaign-killer, but at least it is likely to be effective in achieving dirt-parity when it comes down to McCain vs Obama. McCain has a long and vulnerable track record otherwise vis-a-vis Obama, which was one of my major worries with respect to this match-up.
McCain has no worries vs Clinton of course. Any dirt on McCain could have been called and raised anytime.
Barack Hussein Obama is a very dangerous charlatan. He was elected to the US Senate under dubious means that involved the release to the MSM of previously sequestered divorce records that undermined his opponent. This left-wing radical is not what the guilt-ridden white liberals think he is. His election would drive the US into the ground economically and make it open season on Americans everywhere for the islamic jihadis. It is the duty of all people who care for the US to drive this message home to folks considering voting for this fraud.

This is a column from The Times of Northwest Indiana.

The television above the bar at Chris’ Place was filled with the talking heads of various politicians who hope they will one day soon be anointed to carry their party’s standard in November.
Phil the Teamster, who is scrupulous about having a cold one only after all his deliveries have been made and his rig safely back in the yard, held up some exotic brew to eye level and gazed at one of the heads though a reddish haze.
“I have never voted for a Republican in my life,” said Phil. “But if Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination, I am voting for John McCain.”
The bar, never a particularly noisy place, went as silent as death.
We knew Phil was a Hillary Clinton sort of fellow, but we never dreamed he would ever think of pulling the GOP lever under any circumstances. He is strictly an unreconstructed union man.
He’s also no racist. He lives in an integrated neighborhood and judges each person on merit, not pigmentation. So The Senator, whose idea of exotic beer is Old Style in a Miller Lite glass, asked him why.
“He’s a Crook County politician, that’s why,” Phil said. Stan the Bartender mouthed the word “Cook” from behind his unlit cigar.
“I said Crook, and I meant Crook,” Phil said. “This guy is from Chicago. He sounds smooth, and he might have the rest of the country fooled, but he doesn’t fool me. You don’t come from Chicago and go that far that fast without owing somebody something.”
Well, he has been seen palling around with indicted businessman and influence peddler Tony Rezko, who also is a buddy of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. But does that make Obama the third person of the Unholy Trinity?
“I’ll tell you another thing,” said Mark the Cop, who was on his usual seat by the door. “If Obama or Hillary get in, that’s the end of any kind of federal investigation into corruption in Northwest Indiana.”
It is local lore that Republican-named U.S. attorneys go after corruption in this county in which Democrats have held every countywide office since 1931 and Democrat-named U.S. attorneys have other priorities, let us say.
No one denies this. The Republicans say they come in to clean house. The Democrats say the Republicans come in to impose a political agenda.
Phil judges McCain the way he does other people, on merit. A Vietnam vet, Phil has a soft spot for a guy who spent years as a North Vietnamese POW, even if he is a Republican.
His heart says McCain. His loyalty says Clinton. But his gut says not Obama.

The UK press will be the hole in the caliph’s ratmedia shield. The British press hates all politicians, especially American. They will cut him into little pieces with no fingerprints of our’s on it.
The spotlight fell on Mr Rezko's ties to Mr Auchi last month when the Chicago businessman was thrown in jail for violating his bail terms by failing to declare a different $3.5 million loan from the British billionaire, made in April 2007. Prosecutors feared Mr Rezko, who travels widely in the Middle East, might flee to a country without an extradition treaty such as his birthplace of Syria.
So Obama has a figure much like Clinton's HSU>>>>
I’ll bet Obama and the Toons have a lot in common. Maybe even some of the exact same people in common.
Now that is some good stuff to know...also see #31....
See #31...very interesting....
That'll depend on whether it's his day to be a Democrat or a Republican, doesn't it?
(Oops! Stupid me. He's always a RINO)
Glad you included the links to John Batchelor.
He has been on this subject big time on his Sunday evening radio talk show.
Another artice on World newdaily....Maybe the Clintons are at work????
There is much more on the site Obama file
AS bad as people were snowed with the Clintoons,
Obama has millions not only snowed but under a cult like
And it’s only the beginning.
Cleanup on aisle three in Denver. Hillary is alive and well.
No, the Hillary campaign will make sure that it is well-publicized, including the trial that begins on March 3, just one day before March 4 primaries in Texas and Ohio. Maybe Timmy will bring it up tonight.
Maybe, but I don’t see the MSM straining themselves to report ANYTHING negative about Barry O.
an a review:

This review is from: Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left (Hardcover)I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air.
Add this to the (growing) list...
Oh boy .. this will
be an unrivaled election
bloodletting, that’s fersure.
