That may be part but somehow we had to have been raised differently.

One video shows the driver slapping the phone from her. The student goes after the phone and then the brawl ensues. I suppose we have not seen the end of this investigation. From what I saw on that video the driver put her hands on the 14 year old and at one point shoved her back...Nope, you cannot convince me no matter what an ass that 14 year old was, that this driver is fit to handle her job.

The last thing I would want would be for my mom to find out that I got in trouble at school. I didn’t and I don’t know what I thought would happen but it was to be avoided.

We had a generation of kids who grew up with essentially zero discipline.

Most of them have grown up with a pack mentality because they were raised in a crowded daycare from infancy for 10 hrs. a day, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year, deprived of their mother's attention. A very uncivilized way to bring up children.

You have shared your opinion 7 times but have yet to answer my question. You can’t can you? You know that you could not have stopped her without touching her

There was an administrator around here a few years ago that was retiring. Spotless record. The last day of school the students went wild. One girl spit in her face and instinctively, she slapped her. Mom was very upset. She said something like she had never laid a hand on this child before. Nuff said.

In the beginning the driver was stopped, out of her seat and was asking the girl why she was on the bus. The girl then got up to get off. The girl told her mother the bus driver was getting on to her about talking too loudly, but I could not hear the girl over the other students. Yes, the girl was being bratty, but she wasn’t being violent. The bus driver was the initial aggressor. She should have sat and waited for her backup. I agree the girl should be charged with disorderly, but the driver should be charged with assault as well. She did not handle the matter properly, at all.

Yes, and the driver in authority and her own daughter seems to me are suffering the same mentality of that 14 year old on the bus.. What your saying didn’t just happen in the last 20 years...It goes beyond that.

Who was knocking on the bus door? The one girl says to the driver to “let the man on the bus and he can do something about it.”

According to 911 tapes, several parents were trying to get on the bus when they saw the brawl. The door was locked...No one was getting on or off.

That doesn’t explain why parents aren’t disciplined though. I agree with the other poster. This started in the 60’s. Something happened. Families for the most part was strong. Kids were disciplined at home and weren’t usually a problem at school. Something very bad happened.
