Cleveland, OH (LifeNews.com) -- Senator Barack Obama debated his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night and said his biggest mistake was voting to help save Terri Schiavo. Terri is the disabled Florida woman whose husband won the legal right to starve her to death.

This issue had already been fully debated in threads years ago, so really there was no point in discussing it again. The topic was Obama's change of heart and some took that opportunity to try to re-argue the whole case. We aren't going to convince each other.

I do find it predictable that some of those that most loudly proclaim they are fighting for righteousness are the first and usually only ones to use invective, ad hominem, and other reprehensible tactics and discourse, not to mention hyperbole and emotional appeals.

I'll close with remarks about the case from Fred Thompson, showing that this is not a black-and-white issue, and there is plenty of room for reasonable people to disagree.

Thompson said that as far as he was concerned, “It should be decided by families. The federal government and the state government, too–except for the court system–ought to stay out of it.”

Then he added, “I will assure you one thing: No matter which decision you make, you will never know whether or not you made exactly the right decision. So making this into a political football is something that I don’t welcome. And this will probably be the last time I ever address it.”

Turns out, Thompson knew about Schiavo only too well

The Terri haters hate us too.

Let them.

6 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God. 10 Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: 12 Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you. 13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. 14 You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.
-- Matthew 5:6-15

We are all well aware that you and your ilk would prefer that people think of Terri's death as a "one time event;" however, Terri was nothing more than a "test case" for the culture of death to see what they could get away with.

It’s a well known fact that the Terri-haters despise Terri’s supporters.

They have posted their hatred on their anti-FReeper sites. They’ve posted photos of the FReepers they hate enough to stalk, along with rewards for personal information about Terri’s supporters.

At least one of those sites had a few threads dedicated to their hatred of FloriduhVoter.

Last I heard, they had eaten themselves up with hatred, and their site was shut down.

But there is no end to the sites dedicated to the hatred of Terri and her supporters.

Terri’s supporters wear the deathbots’ hatred as a badge of honor. I guess I haven’t been a vocal enough supporter of Terri and other at-risk victims of your allies, because I’m not aware of any high level violent hatred against me.

Let me know if you get any replies on your post over there. It brought tears to my eyes, but I doubt it will have the same effect on those who like to laugh at Terri and the injustices inflicted upon her.

BykrBayb used to post a chart, showing the numbers of patients exterminated by year and state. I can’t do it from my cell phone. Could one of you repost it?

It’s true that Terri wasn’t the one exterminated this way. Even if you include all the ones you can name, you won’t come close to the total number of brain injured people who are starved and dehydrated to death every day, for the crime of being more trouble than they’re worth. Useless eaters. Lebenunwerten in leben.

I don’t have it. The only graphics that BB ever posts to me deal with omelets.

8mm probably has it or BB can post it.

You REALLY need to get broadband!

Bykrbayb is the one. I don’t have a copy myself. Hopefully she will be checking in soon. Maybe Wagglebee has it too.

We are getting good mileage out of our librarian. He is becoming a poster boy and is a great exercise for the bright minds on our pro-life side. He won't answer my simple posts for some reason or other, so I guess I must bother him. I will leave him be unless he gets riled up more.

Meanwhile, I am working on a graphic for our Terri threads Troll Cemetary and Compost Pile. I figured it would be called Troll Boot Hill and I did find a good pic for it. Here it is as a start, just a concept, mind you.

Only thing is, the boot is ok but the marker looks more like a cow pie. Maybe I can improve on it. I will add some bot flies. I am not much of an artist but I do have a good pic of a bot fly if I can figure the whole thing out.

Maybe with a “old West” style tombstone with the names of “departed” trolls on it.

The Terri-haters are just makin' me famous. So, if they don't shut up, they end up helping the fight against euthanasia cuz people end up here to check out floriduh voter for themselves.

I'm on the right side of this issue and that's that. I've brought hundreds of people to free republic and that's no lie.

I was against Fred Thompson too. He was a feeding tube pulled up until his last super Tuesday. Then, he flip flopped.

Good! I'm glad he came out with his ill-chosen words.

He's laying down another really delicious line of demarcation between himself and McCain.

And on this one, he will come out all for the worse.

And he calls himself a Christian. Well, many are called but few are chosen....or something like that.
