Yes, we've heard since 2000 that President Bush should be impeached, and probably for as long that Vice President Cheney should be impeached. We hear it exclusively from people who are uber-partisan, seeking personal political gain, or ignorant of the facts, but we do hear it. Congressman Dennis Kucinich was nice enough to actually draft and submit three articles of impeachment for Vice President Cheney (I guess he and his supporters either want President Bush to stay President or don't feel he's committed any high crimes and misdemeanors after all). Since the articles were formally submitted, few people who keep track of the historical record or who are left of Howard Dean have taken the time to actually read Congressman Kucinich's rantings. This weekend, I did, and I found the articles to be purely partisan, lacking factual substance, and (in the case of Article III) lacking common sense.
Article I basically says that Vice President Cheney (ignoring President Bush and the tens of thousands of others-including Democrats-who saw Saddam's unresolved disarmament issues as a threat) pressured analysts, and manipulated intelligence to effectively trick the nation into invading Iraq. This simply didn't happen, and it's been investigated several times.
I had innumerable analysts who came to me in apology that the world that we were finding was not the world that they had thought existed and that they had estimated. Reality on the ground differed in advance. And never -- not in a single case -- was the explanation, "I was pressured to do this." The explanation was, very often, "The limited data we had led one to reasonably conclude this. I now see that there's another explanation for it."And each case was different, but the conversations were sufficiently in depth and our relationship was sufficiently frank that I'm convinced that, at least to the analysts I dealt with, I did not come across a single one that felt it had been, in the military term, "inappropriate command influence" that led them to take that position.
1/28/04 Dr. David Kay testimony to Senate Armed Services Committee
Article II basically says the same thing except in terms of ties between Saddam's regime and the Al Queda network of terrorist groups.

I think it would make more sense to impeach Al Gore. Afterall, he is the President, and has really screwed things up.
And people say there were never any weapons of mass destruction.
No, somewhere along the path to impeaching Bush someone said, "Hey!!! That would make Cheney President. Holy crap! We gotta do him first." But the fools ran out of time.
Sadam & his two sons were weapons of mass destructionto the people of Iraq.
Actually, ignorant and psychologically unbalanced pretty much covers all the practicioners.
It's a complex variant of the silly impulse to ask the question, "have you stopped beating your wife?"; best left ignored and unanswered.
Sadman said he had WMD, so you gotta accept that, his word And you don’t let him off when he says don’t shoot me I was only kiding. He killed a million or so of his countrymen, but that’s not enough for these idiots.

cool pictures, thanks.
Precisely.
The VP doesn't do anything but cast an occasional tie breaker, attend second tier funerals, and wait for the President to die.
No one is alleging that Mr Cheney committed any actual crimes, like taking bribes, or lying under oath. So what are the grounds? Didn't he miss too many votes in the Senate? Did he miss more that John Kerry?
No, they what to impeach him for having different opinions than Kook-sinich.
Do the moonbats really think that they can have a workable system when people can be thrown out of office for their beliefs.
Dennis The Menace is not a kook. He is not crazy. He’s a shrewd con-man. He plays to the audience that sends him money.
I had other plans, today, in the real world than following badly structured posts.

What's going on in your real world? OIF is Operation Iraqi Freedom. How can you not know that?
> Hes a shrewd con-man
That’s true too. I have been likewise convinced that many of these types are just actors playing out a role.
If thinks were different; if they were playing to a different audience, they could just as easily pretend to be Ronald Reagan.
The loons on the Left have to alter reality in order to make their world view work. This instant revisionism only works, of course, when buttressed by their sycophants in the Drive-By Media, and it’s dangerous because it causes so many to accept lies and misperceptions as truth.
Everyone who is able to think clearly knows Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, and had an active program to develop more of the same. This was considered a hard fact by, among others, the Clinton Administration, the U.N., and most respected observers.
But the facts don’t fit the Left’s agenda, so they have to be discarded in order that these children can bray on about how they want to impeach Cheney and Bush. Why do they want that? Not because of “WMD,” but because the figurehead nutball of their “movement” was defeated in 2000. It’s the same reason they give him Oscars and Nobels and chide anyone who might disagree with his baseless climate theories. Al Gore just HAS to be right, because THEY have to be right, even if they’re wrong.
This belief by so many on the Left that reality can be altered in the interest of sustaining their illusions is EXACTLY how cults recruit and control their members. That their membership has grown to roughly half the population of the country is frightening.
I have a hunch that, eventually, it will be proven that those trucks driving from Iraq to Syria were indeed hauling weapons of mass destruction — probably when Syria uses them on somebody else. Similarly, I believe down the road we will find out just how many 9/11-style attacks have been thwarted over the past several years by the actions of the Bush-Cheney administration, and we will be stunned.
But this won’t placate the cultists, of course. They will have moved onto something else by then, in any case. Something like blaming “The Man” for keeping the vegetable kingdom “down.”
These people are, for the most part, completely insane, but the press does its level best daily to make them appear more reasonable than they are. It’s THIS obfuscation, not the Bush Administration’s, that is going to get us in massive trouble someday.
I never knew making money while keeping the country safe was a crime? Libtards make me wanna smack someone in the face.
More seriously, I wonder if the Left actually carried out this plan earlier, removing Agnew before Nixon.
Saddam Hussein Obama (oops) was capable of delivering a deadly blow to us within a 45 minute window. These leftist loons won’t be happy till America is on it’s knees begging for mercy and asking them to accept their way of life as long as it doesn’t offend them. This whole ‘freethinker’ concept is a facade. They’re militant atheists(sp?) who want to impose a deeply conservative form of Islam on this country. Don’t be fooled
I’m just amazed that he proposes to impeach Cheney for LYING about WMD’s, using Cheney’s quotes.
How could this nut expect to get away with that?
Any of us here could come up with 10 times as many quotes by prominent democrats who said the SAME thing as Cheney, even BEFORE Cheney was in office!
Nope... Kucinich IS an NUTJOB.
