[...]she uses to attack the girl so severely that the stripper ends up needing serious medical attention which includes a hospital stay.

The question is, is that supposed to read "morgue stay"? I think the mayor claims that the rumor didn't match the girl named "Strawberry" who died, right?

I understand that SkyTel has agreed to release the TXT messages from the Tamara "Strawberry" Greene case.

Right about now, there are many Detroiters looking back fondly on the Dennis Archer regime. I’m from the Metro Detroit area, now living in Central Florida. Detroit has been a mess for my entire adult life. Woodward Avenue for years was the ‘marquee’ street of the city, stretching from the riverfront area out into the affluent suburbs. Yet, for a good 20 year period, Woodward was infested with drug dealers, transvestites, prostitution, and various and diverse manifestations of street crime. Name one other major city (and I’ll admit it’s a stretch calling Detroit a major city) that can make this same claim. Wait, maybe I misspoke earlier. It’s probably closer to 30 or 40 years that Woodward could make this claim. I’m not old enough to remember.
Sad.

Don’t bet on it. Remember she took 14K from Kwame thru the city coffers to secure a mortgage on a house. I beleive that would fall under something like ‘obtaining money under false pretenses’.

From the article:

And as a result, this beleaguered city has become the punch line for jokesters from The Washington Post to Real Time with Bill Maher.

The WaPo and Maher are soooo slow. I can't remember a time when Detroit wasn't a punchline.

Just where eactly is "rock bottom"?
