I voted for huckabee. very similar views. very different approach. He even disarmed Keith olberman on a religion question. People actually love Mike.

Huckabee and Keyes hold similar views on the federal income tax system, but that's the only issue I can cite offhand as justifying your comment. One unequivocably glaring difference is their conclusion about CO2-climate policy. Keyes remains too sceptical of the scientific basis for alarm to entertain any presumption that mandatory controls onemissions be adopted. Huckabee calls anthropogenic CO2 control a moral issue and has endorsed cap-and-trade controls. This is a big deal to me, because, as my tagline reflects, I see access to energy as an important part of our society.

As to the prospect of getting more people to like Keyes, I'm not at all pessimistic. In the 2000 campaign, he went down to Alabama and addressed the state GOP at their presidential 'beauty pageant'. He won the end-of-meeting vote. As best I can tell, the more that folks hear him, the better he does.
