They simply must. Fighting (or as they say, "defending Lebanon from") Israel is basically their sole justification for their occupation of Shi'a Lebanon. The average Lebanese is bitter at the destruction Hezbullah has brought onto Lebanon, & bitter at the role they play in selling them out to Syria, but admire them for "beating Israel". Yes, they definitely won that propaganda war.

War is coming with Hezbullah whether anyone involved wants it or not, & Israel just has to eliminate them once & for all. No way around it.
