Free Obama's White Grandmother
News Max ^ | March 28, 2007 | Andy Martin

Posted on 02/28/2008 9:13:39 AM PST by george76

If anyone else running for president locked his granny away and refused to allow her to be seen, would the media complain?

You betcha.

But America's media have supinely allowed Barry Obama to pretend he has no white relatives. He has paraded his step-grandmother in Kenya, who never saw him until the 1980s, as his "granny," and locked the grandmother who actually raised him away in a closet.

Now, the Chicago Tribune reports "the Obama campaign declined to make [his white grandmother] available."

Is she sick? Not apparently. Bedridden? Hospitalized? Not apparently...

What a disgrace.

And like whimpering puppies the media do not protest, complain or demand access.

We are afraid to confront Obama's reality, so we pretend that reality is not there, even though it is staring us in the face. Anyone remember "Miss Lillian?"

We finally smoked out a picture of Obama's sister in the Chicago Tribune. She had said she was his "adviser" but refused to be photographed. Did she plan to enter the White house with a paper sack over her head?

Madelyn Dunham raised Barry Obama. It was probably her money that got him admitted to the prestigious Punahou School in Hawaii and paid his fees. Her efforts were formative... And yet Madelyn is being hidden away.

All because she is white and Barry Obama is a "black" candidate for president.

What a lie. What hypocrisy. What cowardice. And this man wants to sit in the Oval Office?

Ironically, locking Madelyn away is going to hurt Obama more with African-Americans than with whites.

Whites delight in drinking Obama's Kool-Aid. Reason and reality will only gradually descend on them.

Obama doesn’t seem like a loving grandson in either of the pictures you posted. In the first, the grandfather appears to be putting his arm around him. He sits passively while the grandmother tries to lean into an embrace he’s unwilling to give. In the second, she’s embracing him. He won’t trouble himself to put an arm around her. These pictures are making me feel something for/about him that I hadn’t felt before.

Obama was very lucky that they took him in.

His mother and her second husband moved on...

His biological father walked away, then died.

Obama might have been raised in a Muslim Indonesian orphanage ?

Crimminies -- this is Sarah, Obama's step-grandmother -- although he refers to her as "grandmother." This is the one in all the papers. Sarah is a lifelong Muslim and was quoted saying, "I am a strong believer of the Islamic faith."

The woman of the right in this photo is Obama's real grandmother, Madelyn. She's the one the campaign is hiding. I don't know what Obama calls her.

Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director on the board of a nonprofit organization that granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a “catastrophe.”

You're right, Eagle, I misread the accompanying text that was published with the photo. According to the text, Anna was born in 1943, so the picture was taken sometime in the 50's.

Here's a link to the source I used...

I don't see her wanting to help him. He's treated her and her husband shabbily for some time now.

Seems the British press has done more investigating of Obama's family history than the US media. This is an interesting review of his father's past and how Obama decribes him in his own book. A drunk and a bigot - what the US Presidental hopeful HASN'T said about his father...

Beyond providing a different view of his father, the article calls into question his recollections of being a "victim" of racism in his schooling career.

I am not surprised to hear this at all, unless she was an physically/mentally abusive, alcoholic drug addict.

the evidence that Barack Obama Jr. lied, not only about his father, but about the other circumstances of his life.

I know that many of us automatically assume all politicians to be liars. Even so...

Dan Hale, the 6-foot-7-inch star center of the 1979 Punahou basketball team, said Obama’s depiction of Hawaii as a place where race really mattered hardly resonates with him.

“I was certainly oblivious to a lot of what he references,” Hale said ...

“If you look at our teams, that year I was the only white guy on the starting five.

You had three part-Hawaiians, one Filipino and me.”

I'm don't know if his muslim experiences were significant early on in life. I think after reading a little bit of his background, he is certainly interested in promoting any victim status that he can. His wife's writing had the same tone when she wrote her thesis at Princeton, complaining about her blackness putting her on the periphary of the student population.

Here's a piece from Chicago Tribune on his mom and maternal grandparents that he lived with. Sounded like the mom was quite liberal and an atheist. She may have shaped his thinking quite a bit. Obama's mom: Not just a girl from Kansas Strong personalities shaped a future senator

His maternal grandparents are from Kansas and I understand the white cousins who still live in the state came out for him when he was campaigning here.

White people from Hawaii have told me that Hawaii is a pretty racist place with rampant anti-white sentiment. Not a laid-back, multiracial paradise at all. So based on what I’ve been told, I think Obama’s description is more accurate than Hale’s. The Hawaiian racial environment probably contributed heavily to Obama’s radicalization too.

Some FReepers here are saying that his grandmother is 90+ & it’s understandable that he doesn’t trot her out before the media. Fine. But nearly all the family pictures we’ve seen from him & whatever he’s said about his family always seem to be focused on his non-white family members & not on the whites who raised him.

“Muslim Indonesian oil manager”

Wow, this is interesting, considering Obabma’s Muslim background is off limits, ignored, denied.

Check out this email a friend just sent me:
