Sounds like he should have chosen vasectomy. He could have done it while she was away, then said he decided a baby would be OK. She would have never been the wiser, until she drug him to the fertility specialist.
Once you've reached the point that you know you are done with kids, nothing brings more joy and peace to a man's life than the snip.
