Micah 6:8
He hath shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you,
but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
We praise You for Your love and justice. We worship You with gladness as we enter Your gates with thanksgiving and come into Your courts with praise. We know that You, our Lord, are good and that Your faithfulness continues through all generations. You have established Your throne in heaven and Your kingdom rules over all. May the works of Your hand, in all places of Your dominion, praise You and bless Your Holy and Awesome Name.
Father, we are Your witnesses that there is no God beside You. There is no other Rock upon which we can stand, for You are the first and the last. Apart from You there is no God. We pray that You would be worshiped above all else in our country, that Your Name would be honored, and that we would be united as one nation, under God.
We are thankful for our President, Father, and ask You to continue to show him what You require of him: to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You each day. We know that You are near to him because he calls on You in truth. Do not grant the wicked their desires against him, Lord; do not let their evil plans to slander, malign, or destroy succeed against him. For even when he walks in the midst of trouble, You preserve his life; You stretch out Your hand against the anger of his foes, and with Your right hand You save him. You have promised to fulfill Your purpose for him, Father, and we know that You do not abandon the works of Your hands.
We ask that You give Your shield of victory to our troops, helping them to successfully complete the mission that was begun in Iraq. May Your right hand sustain each of our precious military, and may their leaders be guided by Your wisdom and discernment. Comfort all families who await the return of their loved ones as they defend our nation from those who seek our destruction. We thank You that You give strength to Your people; that You bless Your people with peace.
We wait in hope for You, Lord, for You are our help and our shield. In You our hearts rejoice, for we trust in Your Holy Name. May Your unfailing love rest upon us even as we put our hope in You. Blessed are all who call You Lord and may those who pause here to pray be given an extra measure of Your love this day. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Blessed is the Name of the Lord!
Just before the sunrise, we often hear songbirds welcoming the dawn. Despite the darkness, we know that the radiant light of the sun will soon appear.
Fanny Crosby has been called “The Songbird in the Dark.” Though blinded in infancy, she wrote hymns that inspirationally envision our future reunion with Christ. Early in her life, Fanny had a dream in which she saw the panorama of a glorious heaven, and many of her songs reflect that theme. By the time of her death, she had penned at least 8,000 hymns. Songs such as “Tell Me the Story of Jesus” and “To God Be the Glory” are still popular today.
When Zacharias praised God in anticipation of the Messiah, he also looked forward to a spiritual sunrise. Citing Malachi 4:2, he proclaimed: “The Dayspring [sunrise] from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness” (Luke 1:78-79). That Messiah came to earth, died for our sins, rose again, ascended, and promised to return for us.
Do you feel surrounded by dark and confusing circumstances? You can still lift your praise to God for the bright future you will share with His Son. The words of Fanny Crosby’s beloved hymn “Blessed Assurance” encourage us as we anticipate this glorious reunion with Christ.

Prayers up for our courageous, visionary President!
Amen.
Amen.
Amen, Mayor.
Music reaches everyone, where simple words do not. A music ministry can reach out into the dark, drawing into the Light.
Thank You
