Must you always be fair-minded?!?! A little ideological fanaticism would be nice—after all we are at war with the Democrats,or at least that’s how they see it. Newt was never accused of raping anyone. Clinton was credibly accused more than once. Newt did his best to keep his failings quiet. Clinton got every man, woman, and child in the free world talking about oral sex just to avoid telling the truth in a court of law. Newt later admitted he was wrong (on Dr. Dobson's show), Clinton still has half the world believing he was the victim. I could go on ad nauseum, but we all know the sordid story.

Well, I tried to be hyperbolic and unhinged, but it wasn't needed, the truth was sufficient!

From what I know of Newt, he would never say such a thing, even in private! He is a politician, and he isn’t above mistakes, but this one you attribute to him is completely and utterly out of character and therefore too suspect to be believed. Besides, Newt knows this particular act IS a sex act regardless of the sinkEmperor telling the nation that it isn’t.

You’ll need to substantiate that assertion reagrding Newt, with a documented source please. I’m calling BS on this one you’re trying to peddle, re Newt.

Well, I can't find Newt directly admitting this, but his former mistress is on the record saying it, and I cannot find nor do I remember his denial. His multiple extramarital affairs are pretty well documented, and he indirectly apologized for them on Dr Dobson's radio show. If you Google this topic, you'll find references on CNN, Slate, USA Today and a variety of other (mostly liberal) sources. Personally, I believe it, though I can't prove it.

And I remeber an interview on FOX in which Newt made the point that clinton claiming what he indulged in with a White House Intern was not sex was so absurd on the face of it that it made the president’s credibility drop to zero. The topic of sinkEmperor making Arafat wait was the next issue raised by the FOX interviewer and Newt wasn’t going there so he changed the subject, like a tactful politician will. Newt is a masterful of dialog exchange. He would not make such a faux pas. Period. Did he have affairs? ... I haven’t questioned that and didn’t bring it up, you did. You seem to think that because he had affairs that you can now pin any fable to his character. Not at FR, friend.

I came from a pretty conservative Christian home and my mom was the one that had to tell all of us girls about sex. She always told us whatever happened in the bedroom between a husband and wife was acceptable as long as they were both comfortable.

I withdraw my comment that he said this, as I cannot find record of it and I cannot claim a photographic memory. I remember hearing it on the news at the time, but I cannot back it up. His mistress's comments support it.

The affairs don't prove he thought oral sex got a biblical pass, but they do demonstrate dishonesty and hypocrisy in sexual matters.
