Huckabee did well IMO, he and Ron Paul were the surprises of this campaign season, both took clear positions, ran unorthodox campaigns, and based their stands on personal convictions. Huck and Paul may represent more rank and file Conservative Republican thought then McCain or Romney didIf nothing else, this election shed a light on the divide in the GOP. The party has no clue what it's about. Limited government? Be all things to all people? They're clueless. Not a surprise that a garden variety lifelong party hack like McCain emerged.
