Vanity: What will you do this election?
bushfamfan | 3/5/08 | bushfamfan

Now that it is pretty much official that John McCain is going to be the nominee, what does everyone plan to do for the November election? Do you plan to vote for McCain to keep Shrillary out or are you going to vote third party or not vote at all? I haven't been on this board much since Duncan Hunter dropped out and am really done with the GOP, but considering now is not the time where another party is in place to challenge I will vote for the 'lesser of the evils' in McCain just to keep the old hag Shrillary out. It will be the last time I place my vote for the GOP. I think a third party should then be formed and ready for the next election so it is in contention. This is a very serious election for our survival and Shrillary is so bad that I will vote for McCain this one and only time. Shame on Ann Coulter and Limbaugh.

No need to worry. I have it on excellent authority that Juan McCain will either win with conservatives voting for him, or without them. Therefore, there simply isn't any logical, rational need for conservatives to flush their integrity and principles away on behalf of a candidate who not only openly disdains them, but (as the link provided above baldly states) doesn't even NEED 'em, really and truly.

I, for one, find myself greatly relieved by all of this, quite frankly. Thanks for the reassuring heads-up, Team Juan! WOO-Hoo!

i want to destroy the democrat party first before thinking of a new conservative party. The last thing we need is to guarantee democrat victories forever by splitting the vote.

I’ll be voting for McCain.

I’m with you that Duncan Hunter was the best choice (and an outstanding candidate—not just in comparison), but it is what it is and I’ll be damned if I will play any part in Hillary or Obama becoming POTUS.

Can you believe he’s the Republican candidate? What a joke.

The question was what will you do this election, meaning how will you vote?

Most of us here aren’t thrilled to bits about McCain, so bashing him some more isn’t at all addressing the OP’s question.

There ya go again, ari!

Bushfamfan carefully left out “The Nuclear Option”, which is to make McLame a three-time loser by voting for Hillary to keep him out of The White House. Ann Coulter is a hero, poor anorexic thing!

The GOP needs to be brought to its RINO, globalist knees and the sooner, the better.

I have a clue for ari—DON’T count on being admitted to any new conservative-only party, bub, because YOU ain’t invited!

I’m not invited to another fringe party that will only receive 5 votes? I’m so disappointed.

My only hope would be that Hunter would be VP, but as has been said, Duncan Hunter would be too blunt for McCain. Hunter would have made a phenomenal candidate. But I would hope he would be open for a third party after this fiasco.

Repeating an ardent McCain supporter's (presumably) earnest assertion that said candidate will win "either with conservatives voting for him, or without them" is, by your standards, "bashing him"...?

Such an odd, cuckoo clock sort of world Juan's cheerleading squad inhabits. Glad I don't have to live there.

Well, what's more important, some self-therapy or answering his question?

I am no McCain cheerleader, not on any planet or in any time zone.

I am simply coming to terms with the reality that McCain is our candidate. Do I like it? Hell no.

Will I pick him when I vote, when the other choice is Hillary or Obama? Hell yes.

The question for you is: How will you vote, given the choices before us?

The real problem is that for ANY chance of survival for what we are facing with the terrorists and China and Russia is McCain, like it or not. There is not another party in place to be effective this time around. Sure, if you want to do it after this crucial election, go at it. But I find Shrillary THAT MUCH OF A THREAT to American existence that I will actually vote for McCain. Our enemies would know he’s crazy enough to push the button if they make a move, but with Shrillary, God help us, are we in for celebrations by our enemies. We wouldn’t make it to another election.

I will vote as conservative as I can from dog catcher to the top of the state ticket.

Nationally I'll vote for Dan Burton, or who ever the repubs have, for congressional rep., as for President.......I don't know yet.

I'm still partial to writing in John Galt.

Since you seem to be indulging in the former, only you and your therapist (redundant) can know.
