Just lost Jeff Healey (the blind guitarist in Swayze’s movie Road House) last week to cancer at age 41....

You couldn't ask for a better pard than "Buddy". He was a decent guy to work with when I worked on the movie, North & South Part I & 2. He was there working on his lines, equipment and helping everyone else on the set. At night he would go to the little clubs around Natchez and just hang out with the rest of us. I later showed horses with him at Arabian horse shows. God Bless you "Buddy". I hope this is reversed but if it isn't I will see you on the other side.

My favorite line from Red Dawn.

Russian soldier about to be executed:
“This is against the Geneva Convention.”

Swayze: “I NEVER HEARD OF IT!!!”

“......we’re going to be needing it for a training flick.”

You could be correct.

And yes .......God bless and comfort you Patrick.

My wife has terminal cancer and her journey put her in front of the website: http://www.know-the-cause.com/Books/TheGermThatCausesCancerHandbook/tabid/93/Default.aspx

She purchased the book, where the basic premise is there are several foods (corn, peanuts...) that we eat that introduce a bacteria that initiates the cell mutation.

I don’t know that I buy the premise, they’re certainly hawking their book on this site, but they lay it out pretty well.

My brother in law had PC. He went from fishing under the Verazanno bridge to dead in 3 weeks.

I LOVE North and South, and won’t watch the third book because
Orry isn’t in it. He also did a great job as Alan Quartermain in King Solomon’s Mines.

This is sad.

This is just like singer Jeff Healey dying of cancer at age 41 the other day.

Wow, I didn't hear about that.

and a Scientologist now,

Tell me this is not true! If so, I hope he rethinks this and comes back to Jesus.

I’m sorry to hear that. My sister-in-law died from it. It stripped her of more than her life.

[I]Back to cancer. They supertreat the chemo now by putting you in a coma and wrapping you like a mummy with heating material and cook you while administering the chemo. This is also why your body heats up when you have the flu or a virus. It’s your body going into defensive mode. And we take pain relievers to lower the temp. This probably extends the duration of illness. [I]

Noted. As a physician I have had to fend off countless requests by nurses for acetomeniphen to treat low grade fevers on hospitalized patients.

Mr. Swayze and his wife starred in a 2004 film together. They have been sweethearts since Ms. Niemi was 15 and started dance lessons with Swayze's mother, an instructor. They began dating, were married in 1975, and have been together ever since. Very sad. I am praying for them.

Wedding...

Recent book signing...

This is quite true. Most burst eardrums in children result from parents who administer ibuprofen to reduce the pain of an ear infection, when 99% of them will go away on their own. All it does is strengthen the Staph bugs. Better solution is garlic-mullein drops to comfort the child until it clears up.

If this is true, it's awful.

If you can still laugh today, take a look at The Top 20 Stupid Faces Made By Patrick Swayze in Ghost. Very funny and not that cruel.

They've put up another site in response to the news: The Top 5 Most Handsomest, Well-Acted Faces of Patrick Swayze in Ghost

Point Break was his best. There was talk of a sequel recently.

He’s a libertarian and a Scientologist now, I believe

Mr Swayze is NOT now a Scientologist. He dabbled in that an in Buddhism before returning to Christ, according to a few forums I read.

I enjoyed him in just about every movie I saw. “Ghost” was great. Another was “Next of Kin”.
