Dina it sounds that the anti military groups just upped the ante bigtime.

One of the DC military recruiting stations had been harassed and I believe trashed.

up into late into Giuliani’s term the city was awash with fireworks brought in from the southern states...it was a cottage industry for low level mafiosi.

Here on Long Island it still is a very noisy 4th each year with some of the hugest mortars going off on every steet corner that you can imagine.

Rudy’s insistence on cleaning up fireworks was one of the things I didn’t like him for as Mayor.

Ashcans, M-80s, blockbusters and cherry bombs have been banned nation wide for years, but they show up each year anyway.........

You can get any type of fireworks in PA, you just can’t be a resident, they have to have a permit. 7/4 at the Lake is awesome!

Police cordoned off a section of New York’s Times Square early Thursday after a small explosion struck near a military recruiting station, officials said.

A New York Police Department spokesman said only that there had been a minor explosion, that there were no injuries and that police were investigating the cause of the blast. He said he did not know if the explosion was man-made.

A man on a bicycle is believed to have thrown a “small incendiary device” at a police officer, according to a local Eyewitness News report.

A woman in a nearby building heard a “huge bang” and came down to investigate but was kept back by police.

“I was on the 44th floor and I could feel it,” the woman told CNN.

Local reports said the explosion struck around 4 am (0900 GMT) and that subway services to the square, one of the city’s main transport hubs, had been suspended, although officials were not immediately available to confirm this.

New York has been on a heightened state of alert ever since the attacks of September 11, 2001, when hijackers plowed two passenger airlines into the World Trade Center, killing nearly 3,000 people.

Let's hope the police have enough tear gas, tasers and rubber bullets to keep the Rats under control.

Excuse me!

This occurred in New York, Hillary’s state. She should have a microphone shoved in her face and forced to respond.

Hell, she should be out there decrying it!

Shouldn’t a potential Commander-in-Chief wannabe be doing thhi in the least????

Th Pentagon worried the far-left would try to launch terrorist attacks soon.

From the radio report, it was an ammo can filled with “explosive powder) (which I took to mean gunpowder).
