We almost lost one - rough seas - guy slipped and hit the back of his head on a hatch knife edge. “Doc” sewed him up on the mess room table amidst the smell of vomit - the guy was out cold - no anesthetic needed. He did puke all over the place tho while we held him as study as we could. circa.1962.
Almost got hit by a flying desk safe that came loose in heavy seas.
