CHURCH HILL, Tenn. - Investigators are searching for whomever poured deer urine into an air conditioning unit at a school in eastern Tennessee. About a dozen students became ill after the prank at Volunteer High School in Church Hill.

Firefighters were sent to the school Monday after the odor became overpowering in one classroom, and paramedics treated students who complained of headache and nausea.

Church Hill Police Chief Mark Johnson says the stunt could result in a vandalism charge.

Deer urine is sold by the bottle to be used to attract the animals for hunting.

Deer urine may be great for attracting the venison, but man oh man does that stuff REEK. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the kid who did this gets pounded by a few of his classmates in the near future.

Great prank.
I hope the perp. understands the 1st rule of being a prankster
if you know, you know.
If you and anyone else knows, you have no idea who knows.

Same goes for being a criminal too.

My high school building dated from the 1930’s and had an old fashioned heating system with cast iron radiators.
I don’t know if it was hot water or steam but these radiators would get very hot in the winter.

One of the kids, an overweight social misfit nicknamed Fat Pat, would urinate on them whenever the opportunity presented itself.
The stink off that hot cast iron was horrible - industrial grade gag inducing, eye-watering, horrible.

I only knew who the culprit was because the evil-doer himself told some of us.

In those days there was no formal security - just the janitor doing his work and the occasional teacher walking by so the field was clear.
The minute you walked in the door you could tell if Pat had got to school early again.

They’re lucky that skunk essence wasn’t used.Great stuff to pour into the air vents on people’s cars.

It wasn't so much that the odor was dangerous as it was the horny bucks chasing the students to their cars after school.

Does it smell a certain way ?

The material is used by deer hunters and is not hard to come by in a community where there are tons of deer hunters.

which reminds me.....Had a history teacher that was fond of slamming his desk draw shut when the class wasn't paying proper attention.....
It was a no brainer to tape the stink bomb to the underside of the drawer face when test day came...
Class dismissed!.... plus it gave us a day to bone up on the test...

You only need a few drops on a cotton ball or tissue.

The good stuff is in two part containers. Two drops of each on a cotton ball will cover a 10K sq/ft building.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. If you want on/off this list, please freepmail me. The main Homeschool Ping List by DaveLoneRanger handles the homeschool-specific articles. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list.

You just can't make stuff like this up.

I wonder who gets the job of collecting all that urine?

Do you just hang a bucket under them and empty it s couple times a day if you can catch the deer? Or use plumbing?

How do you advertise for a job like that?

Why wait around with a bucket; why not just catheterize them for the urine?

They should be glad it's not butyric acid.
