The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton essentially even in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s Obama 46% Clinton 45% (see recent daily results). This reflects an unusually sharp change from yesterday’s results when Obama led by eight points and reached the 50% level of support for the first time. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Last night’s results were very favorable for Clinton and it remains to be seen whether this marks a lasting change in the race or is merely statistical noise. Single night results are based upon very small samples and are more volatile than the overall tracking poll.
Looking to November, John McCain now holds a slight lead over both Democrats in the General Election. It’s McCain 47% Obama 42% and McCain 46% Clinton 42% (see recent daily results). It appears that Clinton’s challenges to Obama may be helping McCain at least in the short-term. McCain’s polling numbers against Obama began improving during the run-up to the hard-fought Democratic Primaries in Ohio and Texas. Obama has a three-percentage point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters but is currently supported by just 65% of Democrats. By way of comparison, McCain earns the vote from 80% of Republicans.

You and I are in the minority, for FIRST wanting Hillary defeated, heart staked, burned and scattered BEFORE going after the EASILY destroyed and defeated Obama, who is no more than a lying wolf in sheep's clothing.
For MANY voters -- the choice between McCain & Hillary is easier that between McCain and Obama.. Meaning, McCain looks like "better" choice against Obama than against Hillary.. Understanding that all three throw me into dry heaves...
If there are any questions about how a candidate is doing nation wide, just follow the money.
The Democrats (given in small 50 to 100 dollar donations) have out funded Republicans by at least 3 to 1. In other elections, where it was close, donations were very equal, if not a slight advantage to Republicans. And the margin of victory was close to the margin of financial support. In 2006, for the first time, Democrats out donated Republicans. And the Democrats won in about the same margin.
Looking back at this election, if campaign donations are any indication like they have been in the past, those of you who are positive McCain will win easily, had better get a box of Kleenex handy, or a fifth of your favorite adult beverage chilled and ready.
Well, I hope you're right, because I think she's going to take the nomination.
I thought she'd be easy to beat in her first contest in New York, but she managed to win despite all the obvious handicaps--carpetbagger, refusal to be interviewed, the tip scandal, the Suha Arafat kiss, and all the rest of it. She crushed Giuliani and drove him from the race, and then crushed what's his name and won handily.
But I hope I'm overestimating her ruthless ability to win at any cost.
I was wondering how this story was playing with the general public, but I have to say that some guy that my husband works with called him at work and told him to get home and turn on O’Reilly. The guy hadn’t heard anything about the story before, and was totally shocked.
I’m taking a wait and see attitude, this story happens to be true, the gay story was a fraud. This story actually has potential to damage the whole Democrat party if they don’t distance themselves effectively. The hate America remarks are not much different than what comes out of the Code Pink group. All someone has to do is put some of their speeches together with Wright’s and Farrakhan’s. It just really highlights how far out of the mainstream the Democrat party has gone.

He learned some of the techniques from Alinsky, the same ones that Hillary learned, but he learned the tent preacher cadence and emotional buzzwords from Wright. Have you ever been to a tent preacher revival meeting?

Even if she had not won one primary, do you really think that Mrs. Clinton would have exited stage left and let Obama have the nomination? No way, darling. And as far as going after Obama, who has the guts to do that? The Repubs are too scared. Let Clinton Inc. do the dirty work.

Obama pretty much has already effectively short circuited any amount of traction this potentially had, by removing Wright from his campaign staff also, this morning.
Americans will see that Obama separates himself unequivocally as will a did so immediately by denouncing what Wright said in his sermons. Democrats are not held guilty by association like Republicans are. All Obama needed to do was say he was not a part of it, and didn’t say it himself. That alone will be good enough for the majority of Democrats, moderates and Independents.
This thing will be forgotten after tomorrow by the general public. Of course some of you will rant this thing out for the next 6 months, but the rest will Move-on to getting their savior elected and restored to glory.
I have seen several individuals make that claim myself.
I don’t think we want barak to win the nomination. We want hillary to win the nomination but with the appearance that she cheated. The danger I see is that if the people think hillary won because of the republicans, then that takes away the “she cheated” thoughts in people’s minds. Then blacks can blame republicans instead of hillary. Then they would be energized to punish the republicans by voting for hillary in the general. That would be bad.
I think the best thing rush could do now is keep his mouth shut about voting for either hillary or barak...and focus on ripping mccain a new one. Doing that will garner sympathy for mccain in the MSM and in the minds of the moderates.
Well, he should continue to rip hillary and obama and the media, but that’s a given.

My crazy, paranoid moonbat neighbor just came over ranting that she is being watched by somebody thats been parked down the street the past couple of weeks.
Anyway she has no idea, as i suspect most don’t, about any of this and she loves Osbama.
Even this news didn’t sway her a bit. He’s just too nice a guy I gathered. I showed her a youtube video of the Rev and she questioned if it was real, like it was doctored or something. She didn’t believe VIDEO and AUDIO that I was showing her in front of her own eyes. UNBELIEVABLE!
How this wacked out Bat survives day to day is beyond me.
I just asked her to name one good thing our new lib Gov. Deval here in MA (A clone and Best friend of Obama, also from IL) has done so far for us after all the Hope and Change BS and the only thing she could come up with is he’s trying to bring Casino’s to the state.
I just rolled my eyes and gave up.
