If Barack Obama’s mother had gotten pregnant after the “sexual revolution” instead of in 1961, would she have chosen to have him be born? I wonder if he has ever thought about this?
In 1961, shotgun weddings were still the norm, even if the father was a grad student from Kenya and the mother was a college freshman.

According to wikipedia, Obama’a parents married in January of 1961 and he was born in August of ‘61. By my obstetric training, he was conceived in November 1960! Unless he was a preemie!

The State of Hawaii only records marriage licences by the month and year? A day of the month is not noted? If I could recall my anniversary by only the month there would be trouble at home. Was there really a legal wedding?
