There is something both poignant and galling about the candidacy of Barack Obama.
Any American, regardless of party or race, has to find it heartening that the country has reached the point where a black candidate for President of the United States sweeps so many primaries in states where the overwhelming majority of the population is white.
We have all seen the crowds enthralled by Barack Obama's rhetoric and theatrical style.
Many of his supporters put their money where their mouths were, so that this recently arrived Senator received more millions of dollars in donations than candidates who have been far more visible on the national stage for far more years.
That's the good news. The bad news is that Barack Obama has been leading as much of a double life as Eliot Spitzer.
While talking about bringing us together and deploring "divisive" actions, Senator Obama has for 20 years been a member of a church whose minister, Jeremiah Wright, has said that "G-d Bless America" should be replaced by "G-d damn America" — among many other wild and even obscene denunciations of American society, including blanket racist attacks on whites.
Nor was this an isolated example. Fox News Channel has played tapes of various sermons of Jeremiah Wright, and says that it has tapes with hours of more of the same.
Wright's actions matched his words. He went with Louis Farrakhan to Libya and Farrakhan received an award from his church...

But in reality you can't mention Sowell's name in general conversation without describing him; people do not know him.
You've nailed it -- one of the most important things to be revealed by Obama's minstrel show (Purposely Politically Incorrect Statement Alert) of trying to distance himself from the Wright controversy, is that it shows Obama to either be stupid or duplicitous, and puts it in the store window for all to see.
What they are is fascism in action.
Now it is time to do what we can to keep Hussein in the race. The Clintons are just getting started. By the time they are done Hussein will either be out of the race early or he will be relieved that he isn’t under arrest.
Is there anything this man says that DOESN’T make sense? LOL!
I am currently re-reading his “Basic Economics.” It was on my desk at work, and one of our new employees is an Econ Major (which I didn’t know) and we had a GREAT conversation about Economics for a few minutes between projects. His professor recommends Sowell to all of his students...which is a rare feat in “The People’s Republik of Madistan.”
So, there is hope for the next generation, but not Obama-Lama-Ding-Dong’s type of “hope.”

I’m re-reading his “Basic Economics.” It’s a good place to start. But you’re right...you need to take it in small chunks because it’s a lot to understand. He’s very detailed about why things work the way they do.
That’s my impression, too. Very detailed. He forces himself to be brief in his columns.

That’s really an understatement, and it could even be seen as a bit insulting.
In my opinion, now that Milton Friedman has passed from among us, Thomas Sowell is unquestionably the greatest social scientist in the world.
Moreover, as a “thinker,” his only competition is Victor Davis Hanson.

That's the question I wish every interviewer of Obama and/or the supporters of his church would ask: "So, what would it mean when taken IN context?"

You are correct and I stand corrected. I find myself explaining to acquaintances the background of Dr. Sowell and with a good reaction in almost all cases, of course I don't communicate with many libtards. :)
Exactly, this is a huge chink in his armor. It will be very hard for him to explain away, especially to many of the whites that have rallied to his smooth rhetoric.
I believe the Clinton's will do everything they can to keep this pot stirred if they can do it indirectly.

I heard someone being interviewed yesterday that I wasn’t really paying much attention to but I did get the part about taking things out of context. Said something to the effect that whenever a person knows they don’t have a reasonable explanation after a huge blunder they just say they were taken out of context and there’s no better example than this Wright, Obama thing.
Your point about asking that question is a great point.
