I'm dying to know if anyone of us showed up and can give us a report of what happened last night. this is part of what was on their web page: The hysterical right-wing has freaked out about the March 19 protest. Amuse yourself with a sample of the dozens of hate messages we've received.

The keyboard warriors of the far-right blogosphere have made clear, in hundreds of often rambling messages, their intention to show up and shoot us, while kinder souls just want us jailed and raped for years, while others simply don't understand the concept of saying we want to do something we won't be able to actually do. And please, scary right wing, we already believe you that you want to shoot us and "kick hippies' asses," no need for the continual attempts to one-up each other with even worse threats of violence. See you at the recruiting station at 6:30pm on March 19 (that's 4712 Forbes. Ave in Pittsburgh).

Quinn said this morning that the cowardly moonbats got wind that there were a group of pro-America Vets (I've heard differing estimates of anywhere between 15-50) waiting for them at the recruiting station, so they stayed far, far away.

An article in the Trib said they took the "cage" to Warner Hall, where the college administrators were located, instead.

don’t know what happened in Pittsburgh, but here’s the DC events

Notice the only ones getting violent were the “peace” protestors.

Were any arrests ever made, or did they let the anarchy continue until the bitter end?

Thanks for the update. I guess the college was a safer place for them. I was kind of hoping a squad of MP’s would be there too. Great job. Given what I read on their web page this morning it looks like they got bombarded with emails too. I love it when a plan comes together!

At one point yesterday the local news was reporting 33 arrests, but I don’t know if that was in relation to the recruiter incidents or not. They were also blocking traffic by laying down in major intersections which is probably the cause of the arrests.

This had to be a disappointing effort for them. They were going to block all entrances to the IRS yesterday morning, but during the planned event, the radio was reporting that there was more media and police than protestors and the Post this morning reported that under a dozen people showed up for that effort. Four years ago they had thousands show up for their protests. Last year a few hundred. Now it’s down to a dozen or so diehards. Pathetic.

Too bad we can’t press the protesters into service as conscripts. A few months at sea, with hard labor and no illicit substances, might do them some good.

;-)

Incredible that the chief initially ordered no action.

We were watching some clips of various protests on TV in the chow hall at lunchtime.

One thing we were all laughing at is how most of them are somewhat long in the tooth. Hippies who never grew up and so desperately want to do the Vietnam-era, flower-power thing again.

They'd love to see a draft because then they could really get rolling. But with an all-volunteer military, their protests just make them look like silly little attention whores.

The "anti-war" movement is pathetic. It's not anywhere like the 60's when they actually filled RFK with people arrested.

No wonder Abbie Hoffamn committed suicide in a chicken coop. He saw this coming...

Pass the word. It IS the old hippies from the 60's leading these. From the stage at last September's pro-troop event, I said that if 91 happeneed ten years later, there would have been no "anti-war" marches because all the old hippies would be dead or in the Home.

Turns out David Cline, an old Vietnam Veteran Against the War hiding out at Veterans For Peace and the immediate past presdient of VFP died the day before.

| Funny thing was that as they mourned and memorialized him from the podium, nobody mentioned that he was Vietnam Veteran Against the War. Too embarassed I guess.

Well hells bells...I figure if they mis-directed their attention to the IRS, that actually might be a good thing...

At least I’d be laughing my rear end off at the irony...

I’ve already received some of our money back that the government borrowed without paying interest on a couple of weeks ago...

I’m good till next year...

“Sure...Go ahead, go mess with the IRS down the street there...No problem...Anyone need a lift???”

“Ohhh, don’t mind those NRA stickers...Those were from the previous owner of this truck...;-)”
