Call him Barack O'Bama - for he's got the luck of the Irish.
The very week he faces his toughest obstacle ever - one that may still derail his candidacy - Obama gets a near-game-ending pot of gold.
It now appears certain that Hillary Rodham Clinton's efforts to rewrite party rules in a desperate search for a lifeline have failed.
Her absurd proposal of counting her "wins" in Michigan and Florida - long after everyone agreed they wouldn't count - has been laughed off the table.
And now, it appears, there won't even be any revotes.
While revotes are the only way to resolve the matter justly, they would have been problematic for Obama ever since his insane preacher - who makes the Black Panthers seem docile - became a household name.
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright would have terrified elderly Democrats in Florida and blue-collar whites in Michigan.
But Obama's luck doesn't end there. The timing of this whole mess couldn't have been better, because it competed for airtime with Eliot Spitzer's sexcapades.
The tapes have been around for years but came out only after Obama established himself as a solid front-runner.
And when they finally got widespread attention, it was during the longest spell of the campaign without any contests.
The next primary is still more than four weeks away in Pennsylvania, where Obama was going to lose anyway.
But luck is never just luck, and Obama works very hard.
The Wright scandal has been Obama's Gennifer Flowers moment.
And just as Bill Clinton handled that first great bimbo eruption, Obama handled this quite deftly.

We sincerely could be looking at the breakup of the dhimmirat party.
A few years ago, with all the losses that the dhims had taken, I was pokin’ libs in the eye with the idea that the dhim party would be no more, the GOP would be considered “liberal”, and the Constitution or Libertarian party would flank them on the right as the “2nd” party.
This is still a possibility, but not in the way that I had envisioned.
Obama is NOT a Typical Black Person, he just plays one on TV.
My guess is that even if the country clubbers come up with the money for such a thing, it will be denounced by the McCain campaign.
Just imagine the racist Rev. Wright being a mentor to our next Commander In Chief? Obama must be defeated.

In a very frightening way, he reminds me of Bob Dole, who could not have run a worse campaign.
I go back and forth about whether I think McCain’s got a snowball’s chance in hell or not. Under normal circumstances, the answer would have to be not, but the Dems have a mess on their hands, and, for the first time in history a non-white or non-male candidate, which is going to have an effect in ways nobody can foresee. So sometimes I think there’s no way he’ll win, and other times I think he’s a shoe-in. If he does win, it won’t be because of him or his campaign, it will be because the hapless Dems were so completely inept that they handed him the Presidency.
You are exactly right. He might just win in spite of himself and the horrible GOP leadership, only because the Democrats imploded. McCain has done more to drive conservatives and Christians away from the party than to attract them. If that is what they wanted, they got it. Wait until a new Conservative Party emerges in the near future.
I think alot of independents will remember Rev Wright come the general election and vote for McCain. The beauty of it is if Hillary steals the Nomination a good Chunk of the Obama vote goes to McCain also. The Democrats have problems either way.

The behind closed door mentors of politicians can be very scary people. They often stay hidden and don’t have to answer to the public for their “mind control” over the politicians they are mentoring.
Wright is a dangerous and scary person. Hussein ObamaSamma must be defeated.
Something REALLY bad is going to have to happen to Obama for the Nominiatrix to STEAL the nomination and not be stoned by the blacks!! His dying words would have to be “Super Delegates....please go with Hillary, I BEG you”!
