Several are serving life sentences in state prison for other crimes. G.M. So a bunch of them were already in prison for life. I'll bet the prospect of another life sentence had 'em quaking in their boots.

The Mexican Mafia was formed in prison, and has always been run from prison. Going to prison if you’re a member is like getting a promotion.
