BOLINGBROOK, Illinois (AP) -- Jobless and with no prospects, Drew Peterson spends his days taking care of his four children: cooking meals, washing clothes, helping with homework. All the while, he does so knowing that most of the world believes he killed his last two wives.
Nearly five months have passed since Stacy Peterson vanished from the couple's home in this Chicago suburb.
Peterson is a suspect in her disappearance, and authorities are also trying to determine if he had any role in the 2004 death of his ex-wife.
The 54-year-old former police officer knows that he could be locked up anytime, and that is part of why he allowed The Associated Press into his home for an exclusive interview.

Guess that’s why he put himself out there as an eligible bachelor so quick. I feel for those kids, though.
I can’t even imagine what they’re going through! The older ones have to KNOW that their dad’s a wife/mother slaughterer. I’d be asking for grandma & grandpa!

This guy is either the unluckiest joker alive when it comes to women, -OR- the guilt inside him is eventually going to drive him to confess, or to off himself.
The kids need prayers, since I doubt their Mom is coming back.
He’s either innocent, or totally shameless.
I vote for the latter.
Or just kill the SOB in his sleep. I’ll bet he keeps his bedroom door locked. Come to think of it, if I were one of the kids, I’d keep my bedroom door locked, too.

I had thought I saw something recently where they arrested him. Did they just take him in and then later release him?
As for his sleeping habits, I believe he’s an ex-cop, he’s probably sleeping with a pistol within hands reach.

Guess it is time to get another wife, and this time, think before you murder, it gets real old being mommie too.
