David Cook is erroneously being credited with the arrangement of Billie Jean that he sang tonight. No. It's a note for note copy of an arrangement crafted and sung by Chris Cornell. Cornell sings it much better, too. Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epXN1eUkFGU

Archuletta is a good kid, but someone keeps pushing him into the socialist camp song book. That one last night about guns was the last straw for me. The kid can be voted out any time as far as I am concerned.

The song he sang last night was putrid, ugly as can be and a activist anti-gun ‘feelings’ effort. “Boys and girls sing out, it’s time we quit looking down the barrel of a gun.” (Paraphrased)

Enough already!

I like Kristy. I think she has a wonderful voice, but she still doesn’t know how to pick the right songs or control it yet. Even with the song she packed last night, she went woefully off course a few times. If you want to win, you simply can’t do that. And this was actually one of her better performances of late.

I had hoped she would start hitting some home runs, but she has failed to ignite. If she did, I think she could do well, but for some reason she just hasn’t been up to the task. Too bad really.

If anyone isn’t cutting it, it is Jason. He had maybe one good performance, but since then, he has failed to do anything different or even daring. After last night, I believe that Kristy deserves another chance more so than Jason. She has come a long way and is at least trying more than Jason. In my opinion, Jason is the weakest and needs to go.

I never watch American Idol but after all the publicity I went to Youtube and watched the performance. I’m glad I did but I need to do something to keep my screen from getting fuzzy.

It was introduced by ryan seacrest as Chris Cornell’s version of Billie Jean, so an effort was made to give credit where it was due.

She’s a sweetheart who lives right down the road. She’s
also a top student in TwKwan Do (sp?) taught by one of the local
HS coaches.

I completely agree with that. His voice doesn’t have depth, and if truth be told I’m not convinced he’d even be there if it weren’t for the ‘edgy’ dreadlocks.

He runs out of breath in the middle of verses.

Some folks were saying Kristy was this year’s Sanjaya, but I think this guy is. He has no voice. Kristy actually does have a very nice voice with a lot of power behind it. It’s just that she can’t control it yet and isn’t picking the best songs, last night being the exception.

Yep, I heard Seacrest introduce it with credit to Chris Cornell. Still, everywhere I visit on the internet David Cook is being praised for the originality of his arrangement. I’m thinking most people didn’t hear Seacrest attribute it during the intro, or Cornell’s name is so unfamiliar to listeners that its mention during the intro didn’t register.

For me , "Its also called leave the room off (snack?) and on during the show". I reacted to the judges critique that is why I thought it was his rendition. See it's people like you that fight for truth and justice in the American way.

Thanks.

Found this funny today.

As we were relaxing and watching Idol, instead of our nose buried in the news 24/4, Rush was watching Dancing with the Stars, I had to laugh when I pictured our similar scenarios.

First time I voted this year. She deserved it for having the courage to go out there and sing it.

I see what you mean about Kristy not having the control but it is amazing of the difference when she chooses the right songs. Yeah, I think those dreds and Jason’s cute looks are what is getting him through so far. He seems to be more of this year’s Sanjaya than Kristy, like you said.

Votefortheworst.com is just ridiculous though! Come on people, could we please vote for talent and not just to screw things up? LOL

We will find out tonight!

Good for you! Yes, she deserved some votes for having the courage to get up there and sing that song. It was also a bonus that she sang it so well. I hope our votes help her stay another week!

I really like that little Asian girl too. She has a very nice voice, but she’s been picking the wrong songs of late.

To be honest, the talent has been amazing this year. I don’t honestly think any of them truly stink. Most of them can come up with some great performances when push comes to shove.

It just too bad they don’t make good choices.

I think Mr. Dreds should go, but that’s just my take on it.
