Are Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Elton John breaking U.S. laws by allowing the British pop singer, a foreign national, to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Mrs. Clinton's presidential campaign by performing a concert on her behalf?
That's the question Inside the Beltway put to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) yesterday, which does not rule out the possibility.
First, some background supplied by the FEC: The goal of the 1966 Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) was to "minimize foreign intervention" in U.S. elections by establishing a series of limitations on foreign nationals. In 1974, the prohibition was incorporated into the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA), giving the FEC jurisdiction over its enforcement and interpretation.
According to the FEC, FECA "prohibits any foreign national from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly. It is also unlawful to help foreign nationals violate that ban or to solicit, receive or accept contributions or donations from them. Persons who knowingly and willfully engage in these activities may be subject to fines and/or imprisonment."

yes, it has come back to bite them in the butt and rightly so. She is a liar plain and simple. All she has done is attack President Bush and now Obama. She has no substance. She looks terrible, and when she was standing there with that Irish scarf on talking about sniper fire she had this weird grin on her face like it was a picnic or something. She can’t even take seriously something SHE said was sniper fire. She probably heard the term “corkscrew” from somewhere and used it. When I watched the video of the Pilot who was Aircraft Commander on that flight he pooh pooh’d just about everything she said in her videos.
He also said if she was told to go up front and for others to sit on their armour seats/or packs or whatever they were...that that must have come from the Secret Service because he never gave any such order and HE was the Aircraft Commander.
He also stated that if there HAD BEEN sniper fire they wouldn’t have landed in the first place.
The woman is a liar from her toes to the tip of her head. She looks strange and yes, confused. She is not up to this job as President and we all know it. It’s SHE who is dillusional enough to think she is. She’s becoming more of a pathetic figure than she ever was. She is losing and the water is melting her! I for one couldn’t be happier. We don’t need the clintins in the white house again to smear and disgrace the highest office in the land. I hope she will have the decency to walk off on her own without being shamefully dismissed.
Does it not seem of late that no matter what Hillary does she just seems to step in it? Not that I mind, of course, but it is interesting to see how her quest for the Presidency, once considered unstoppable, has become unraveled.
