State troopers in Colorado have voted to form a union, according to Colorado WINS, a labor union coalition seeking to organize approximately 32,000 state workers.
The state trooper employee organization, known as the Association of Colorado State Patrol Professionals, is the first of its kind to form since Democratic Gov. Bill Ritter issued an executive order in November supporting state worker efforts to unionize and form employee partnerships.

Of course he did.
Aren’t unionized government employees a major growth area of Democrat voters?
Next think you know they will want to marry!
Hope they enjoy paying more for less. If Robocop is ever invented, he’ll be permanently barred from the State.
First step will be to set retirement at 100% of base. Who will be first Troopers, California or Colorado?
I guess these guys won’t mind having their paychecks raided by their “union” in order to help get more DemocRATS elected.
How better to generate for LIBERAL DEMOCRAT voters??? Unions — organized extrotion and thuggery. The heritage goes all the way back to Tammany Hall....
"Sorry ma'am, I'm assigned to traffic today."
Union members get to spend the money and their “ free “ time campaigning for DUmmies.
More free campaign time to get out the vote...for DUmmies
Just more guys voting themselves a fatter paycheck and bigger bennies.
Now, if County and Local Agencies can join with the State troopers, then maybe the can get the same benefits that teachers have been getting for years.
I never supported unions until I saw how Colorado treated teachers who could organize versus employees who have been prevented from organized bargaining.
Since, I doubt that the State will ever have the will to abolish teachers unions, then the people of Colorado will be getting just what they have ask for.
Soon Colorado can join the other blue states with destroyed economies.
Many in the private sector who start small businesses ( which creates most of the new jobs and tax revenue ) will move on.
With rising tax rates, lots of new government fees, and unfunded governmental mandates...
Looks like the Californication of Colorado is progressing rapidly. What a shame. Maybe the rules will be different in CO, but in CA, public unions are allowed to make campaign contributions to the very politicans who set their salaries and benefits. The conflict of interest is insane. The result is legions of public employees raking in salary, benefit and retirement packages unheard of in the private sector.
When Hillary’s lap dog Evan Bayh became Governor in Indiana, he immediately allowed the state employees to join the UAW.
Then he organized them into a potent lobbying force.
Interestingly 16 years later, RINO Gov Mitch Daniels immediately upon taking office disbanded the union.
