LAST THURSDAY, A controversy erupted in the blogosphere. Like most controversies that start in the blogosphere and die there as opposed to gaining a second and more meaningful life in the mainstream media, the entire affair was a tempest in a virtual teapot. But this incident was a particularly pregnant one, as it revealed the difficulties the left will have in developing a coherent attack against John McCain. It also highlighted Barack Obama's most significant weakness in a match against Senator McCain.

I saw the man who made the accusation on FOX, last night. I hadn’t even heard of the accusation, before, but the man was on FOX, withdrawing his accusation, but justifying it, all the same, by stating that McCain had plagiarized his whole economic policy from some man in 1996.

Pretty good smackdown of Obama’s qualifications vs McCain’s.

I’d love to see McCain plagiarize his whole economic policy from some man in 1996.

Specifically, Newt Gingrich.

McCain supporters can thank the New York Times, and now Think Progress, for boosting his support among conservatives. oh the irony

Obama’s racist pastor and Hillary’s dangerous landing under fire will keep the headlines. This thing with McCain is garbage and everyone knows it. I believe that McCain has a good shot at winning now with the two dems screw-ups and constant bickering. They are going to fight themselves right out of the White House.

Why make something up? He’s got enough of a bad record without having to embellish it.

You ask the question because your thinking processes work in logical sequences. Which also explains why they make stuff up. They are so full of hatred that they cannot think rationally and see beyond the moment of telling the idiot lies, when the truth is actually quite sufficient.

On the other hand, how would they say it? Don't vote for McCain because he's too liberal? Because he wants to flood the country with illegals? Because he worships Global Warming? Kind of difficult to criticize the man for having the same positions as they.

Unless they can get some traction via Iraq, which is pretty unlikely, they just about have to make up garbage because he is essentially a Rat himself.
