You’re right. Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist, and the organization she founded, Planned Parenthood, is highly regarded to this day, and receives government funding.
I’ve heard that before, that planned parenthood is a secret eugenics conspiracy.
But here’a the problem with that. First of all, let’s say that eugenics is proven to be beneficial to society and the human gene pool. Even with that assumption, planned parenthood is still a dumb idea. The reason is, planned parenthood is voluntary procreation control! Does anyone really believe that the least desireable gene carrying individuals will just walk in off the street and volunteer to have their procreation possibilites abreviated? Explain to me how that is supposed to work?
