"Most working- and middle-class white Americans don't feel that they have been particularly privileged by their race," said Barack. "As far as they're concerned, no one's handed them anything. ... So when they ... hear that an African American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college because of an injustice that they themselves never committed ... resentment builds over time."

On this issue, Barack seemed to have nailed it.

Actually, he skips some steps.

Here, for example, should be inserted things like:

So when they ... hear that an African American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college...

...because of institutional racial preferences, both legal and social;

...necessarily without regard for merit first;

... [feel free to add your own]

***

Obama clearly cannot relate to entrepeneurs, or doesn't care enough about them to address the business-crushing reality of minority [and women] owned business contract awarding preferences.

But who's counting. Shhhh! These are the words of Obama!

Given that Washington and Jefferson et al lived and worked in the White House, imagine now Obama bringing in all of his affirmative action buddies into the Lincoln bedroom. Sally Hemings would be laughing at all of us over this.
