When he came outside around 7:30 p.m., his truck was missing.
Inside the truck, police said, were two .40-caliber Glock pistols with 100 rounds of ammunition, an AR-15 assault rifle with five fully loaded magazines, a ballistic vest, police uniforms and IDs, flat badges and wallet badges.

So when a uniformed officer knocks on the door at midnight do you let him enter or do you dial 911 for home invasion? It is harder and harder to distinguish who is legitimate and who is not.

Yet more evidence that police officers can’t be trusted with firearms.

Heard of a van that is loaded with weapons,
packed up and ready to go
Heard of some gravesites, out by the highway,
a place where nobody knows
The sound of gunfire, off in the distance,
I’m getting used to it now
Lived in a brownstore, lived in the ghetto,
I’ve lived all over this town
This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco,
this ain’t no fooling around
No time for dancing, or lovey dovey,
I ain’t got time for that now

This guy gets to ride around with a lot of ammo and loaded at that, because he’s a peace officer. My husband gets handcuffed and threatened with jail because he didn’t immediately tell the officer who stopped him for going 5 miles over the limit, that he had a CCW permit and his gun in the car.

5 fully loaded magazines for an AR-15 and 100 rounds of .40 S&W..
LOL
I bet plenty of us here on FR have more ammo than that on hand...
To: Copernicus
That was on Hill Street Blues years and years ago.

I didn’t see anything in the article about the weapons being loaded. Maybe I just missed it. My guess is that the headline is misleading and officer, not the guns, was loaded after his stay at McDuffy’s.

They can keep the Glocks but I wouldn’t mind having the fully automatic AR-15. Would you please make mine a Colt?

Funnier is they called it an AR-15, not an evil assault weapon. Oh wait, that is only when civilians own them.
