The ‘hydrogen peroxide’ one can buy at retail outlets is only 3% hydrogen peroxide and 97% water.

If you're working on certain "alternative fuel" projects, you can get 99% pure. Which is why it might be a good idea to pay more attention on what kind of grad students you have working on certain research projects.

I'm sure there are some imams providing guidance to certain muslim college students as to what sort of majors and projects they should be in, with an eye to what sort of knowledge and access to materials that might provide

...and leading to debates over the relative explosive capabilities of hard and soft cheeses.

That's quite a turn of a phrase, I must say!

“Mouthwash, blue, red. Calculate exact drops of Tang, plus colour. Make in HP.” And: “Lucozade, red, 1.5 drops, one teaspoon Tang, one teaspoon orange, 12 drops. Oasis, red. On, red dye. Orange, two times mango.”

So far I got ALCOHOL
Citric Acid
Sucralose, acesulfame potassium, and Neotame.
Neotame: Neotame is moderately heat stable and extremely potent.
Chemically, it has a 3,3-dimethylbutyl group attached to the amino group of the aspartic acid portion of the molecule. )

Hydrogen Peroxide
Hexamine

Tang mixed with Coke is a **fantastic** toilet bowl cleaner, btw. Vitreous porcelain loves the stuff.

Many health-food stores carry 35% hydrogen peroxide. You can use it to purify drinking water. A couple of “glugs” in a 55 gallon drum of water will kill all the bacteria and leave no after-taste.

the explosive was planned to consist of hydrogen peroxide mixed with a powdered version of the fruit drink Tang

Great, now they're going to outlaw Tang.

My kids will never know the fun like we did with sodium chlorate and paper towels.

I found an old piece of water pipe and about a 3” round rock that we shot through an oak tree, that stuff had some kick to it!

6 sheets of bounty with a roll of duct tape and we lifted the ice off of an an entire pond one winter, spent the next hours trying not to get caught for that little stunt....

Same here. It's amazing what you can do with some powered aluminum and rust.

“But if they mixed them together how id it not go boom when mixed - somebody know?”

They have to wait for the bad stuff to precipitate out under the right conditions. Its extremely unstable once its made and ready. The ROP fellows refer to it as the “Daughter of Satan”.

"Sir, before I let you on the flight, would you mind taking a swig of your mouthwash?"

You can also get food grade peroxide pretty easily - strong stuff none of which would go down too well....

“Tang, meanwhile, is available in liquid and powdered form, and is a fruit drink made by Kraft.”

Not according to the Nuge. It also comes in “poon” format.
